Everything was absolutely amazing! We ordered the queso fundido as an appetizer. Honestly, I would come back just for that and the drinks. Not pictured are the two drinks we ordered – Cucumber Avocado Margarita and a Paloma. There was a perfect balance of tequila in the drinks. They were nice and refreshing for a Spring day. For our entrees, we both opted for the 3 mix & match tacos. On the blue plate: chorizo, chicken, and black bean & portabella mushroom. On the orange plate: carnitas, fish, and BBQ short rib. My favorite was the fish taco. We will definitely be back again!!!

Amazing shrimp tacos. We also ordered kids quesadilla and steak burrito. The steak was not cooked well though so probably they should have asked how to cook it. Will definitely come back.

Great Margaritas and wonderful service. I took advantage of the great weather and had a Spicy Nuevo on the lawn before dinner. Where else can you get a drink on the lawn these days?! My chicken enchiladas were great (didn’t take a picture sadly). Also, their chips and salsa is fantastic, super fresh and crispy, not greasy at all. Will be back!

Highly recommend ! Great food, ambiance and location . Perfect patio; they have umbrellas when it’s hot and heaters when it cools down. The margaritas with the fresh lime are delicious . The fresh salsa is great and really enjoyed the veggie enchiladas and burrito . Support local !

Awesome establishment! If you have not been to Depot Nuevo in Wilmette you owe it to yourself. Best Guacamole and an extensive Mezcal and tequila list with great crafted cocktails. Recommendations: Gauc of course, Appetizer Sampler/trio, Fajitas (Many levels above Uncle Julios) and particularly good Mole and red enchilada sauce. Best Staff in town.

We enjoyed our experience. Bartender was very nice, drinks we delicious. The appetizer was ok, thus the 4 stars. The true Queso Fundido has more poblano peppers & and less Chorizo, since Chorizo can over power the dish. Loved the vibe!

Listen, these are the worst nachos I’ve ever had in my life!!! There’s barely any cheese, the meat is bad, too many chips, just bad!!! The chips are really greasy and sharp. Be careful before choosing this place. Horrible.

Just ate here for the first time, and I was blown away by pretty much every aspect. Their chips were delightfully crispy, the salsa roja was delicious and had a good kick to it, the guacamole had a lovely texture and was very onion-forward which I like, and the mole chicken enchiladas were probably the best enchiladas I’ve ever eaten. Highly recommend this place, and they also have a really nice outside seating area and adjacent free parking from 3pm-10pm.

Huge fan of this place! Great service, and the outdoor seating in the summer is the best you’ll find in the area. Get the spicy margarita — you’ll never go back to the basic version. The menu is delicious, if a bit sparse — that’s okay, though, it keeps the specials interesting! If it’s a slow night, ask your server to send Charlie by to talk tequila — he’ll provide some great recommendations from their very ample selection.
