As French, my main discover in the US is the Mac&Cheese. So, I’m currently making a list of the “Best Mac&Cheese” in MA. Thus, each time I go to a restaurant, I taste the Mac&Cheese. At Deluxe Depot Dinner, I did not appreciate the Mac&Cheese that much even though I’ve been told by the waitress that their was “excellent”. It was good but “too regular” (ok, a Mac&Cheese is something regular but some restaurants AMAZED me with the taste they give to their). The appetizer we ordered and the lemonade was e-x-c-e-l-l-e-n-t.
Still, I put 5 stars for the quality of food (of course, I ate in my fiancé’s plate), service, ambiance and décoration.
Deluxe Depot Dinner is one of the most charming restaurant I’ve been. The way I discovered Deluxe Depot Dinner is strangely poetic as well. It was about 7pm during a rainy day, I was with my fiancé and his friend. As his friend was located in Framingham at that time, we gave him a ride from Boston and instead of going straight back to his home, he invited us for dinner. As he didn’t know the area, we searched the nearest one on Google Map. That was Deluxe Depot Dinner. So, it was raining, none of us got an umbrella. We were walking fast to find a shelter (especially me). I was passing next to a train station with an old architecture when my fiancé called me and told me “it’s here”. He was pointing me the train station. I thought “what?” but you know, I was desperately looking for a shelter so I just went in with them. Once inside, I understood: the restaurant is established in an old train station. The name (“Depot”) plus the decoration: OMG. Revelation. Then, I definitely enjoyed the ambiance and the waitress (Carla) was really welcoming. To know my review of the rest, just go back to the beginning of this text 😉

Amazingly quick & absolutely delicious! Lots of breakfast choices from vegetarian to meatatarian… Try avocado in the omlette!

Great atmosphere and decor. Parking is located on site in front of the restaurant and in other lots across the street.
Reasonably priced- comparable to other places. Big selection with gluten and dairy free options.
The cons: sweet potato waffle was flat and only tasted like cinnamon. All the food came out Luke warm or cold. I would be surprised if my turkey bacon was actually cooked- very floppy and cold. Sausage was cooked but barely warm. Not worth the price bit the price wasn’t terrible.
Pros: pancakes were tasty. They serve maple syrup. Good hot coffee.

Went on a trivia night (Wednesday), so that might have skewed my experience. The decor is fun – it looks steam punk. I could see the cast of Firefly feeling comfortable. The food was good. The mac and cheese was a really good side. The service was awful. After delivering our meals and refilling our drinks, our server disappeared. I would have really loved dessert, the menu looked amazing; alas, I couldn’t order at all. I don’t know why she stopped coming by.

First time here with our family. Excellent menu selection even gluten free bread and pancakes! All of our orders were delicious (my husband aid it was the BEST Monte Christo sandwich he has ever had .) Service was great and he was super attentive. Cannot believe we have not discovered this place as yet. We read reviews but we did not feel prices were high at all. We will definitely be back!

Went on a Monday night for dinner. Place was dead, which was great because service was very fast! My two friends and I all got the steak tips with various sides. Steak tips were good, definitely recommend ordering them medium rare. Brown rice was so so. Broccoli and French fries were good. Got a great deal using a Groupon. I would definitely go back again. They also serve breakfast all day!

We stopped in here on the way to a high school soccer game. It’s a classic train car Diner, inside of a beautiful, older and very solid feeling, renovated building, with vaulted ceilings and great train car decor. The servers were very pleasant and friendly. We had great tasting burgers and sandwiches. I would definitely go back there again! Loved it!

A great spot. So glad we stopped here today. Our waitress, Valeria, was amazing. The food was very good. The menu was small. The service was awesome. The building has a lot of history. Great steam punk theme. Will def come back again soon.

We stopped here on chance and had a terrific meal. Rated 4 stars instead of 5 because menu is a bit limited and pricey for breakfast with several selections requiring ala carte sides. The google identifier of 1 $ is a bit misleading; probably should be $$ and our expectations would have been different. Must state again that the food was terrific and service was friendly and prompt. Great decor inside this registered historic establishment. Will definitely be back!

First time eating here. We ordered take out. The place was empty. It was 4pm. When we first walked in I thought it was closed. Eventually a gentlemen came over. We let him know we were taking out. He let us know that he was new. He did have to run back twice while taking our order. We ordered fish&chips and Kobe cheeseburger(l,o,m,k,m) . the burger had only had cheese, lettuce and a onion round. The sweet potatoes fries were shriveled and old. I really wanted to love this place but I don’t even like it. For the prices they charge they need to kick the food and attention to detail up a few notches. To bad. I wonder if breakfast might be better but I will probably never find out.
