We were in town for a conference and decided to check out DePalma’s. It was delicious! The waiter was very good and the food came out pretty quick! We got the breadsticks for an appetizer and the penne Alfredo with chicken and the penne Alfredo with sausage! Everything was great! We would definitely go back! The cost of the food was also extremely reasonable for the atmosphere and quality! It is also very walkable from some of the local hotels!

TEA TIME
Had a Caesar salad with the additional salmon! Wasn’t in a pasta mood. First time here, portions are good, food was great and they catered to us. A loud italian restaurant but the vibes are good & Our waitress was so kind.

Get. The. Pizza. There’s many different combinations of toppings that you can choose on the pizzas here. This might be the best pizza I’ve ever had in my life actually. And I’ve been to Italy in New York City like 40 times. Stuffed mushrooms were very good as well. Everything about this place was awesome. The food was top-notch and the service was really really good. It is not a big place and while I didn’t wait for a table, I’m pretty sure I got the only open one and I went at 5:00 PM so I’m sure there’s usually a wait in the evenings.

Super yummy! Service was great and it felt like a somewhat elevated atmosphere but still casual and homey. A real local institution, it took a few tries to get a table without a wait, but was well worth coming back.

The Caesar salads were simple but great, and even though the price was steeper than expected, getting the bread sticks was a great choice as well.

I ordered the spaghetti with sausage, my wife the basil tomato salmon. Both were very generous portions, delicious, and served promptly.

Coffees were yummy too, and the experience was not rushed.

Everything about this place was fabulous!! We were welcomed and seated very quickly with smiling faces. Our server was Alana, I highly recommend request if you can. She was very attentive even while juggling other tables/parties. The food was delicious and fresh. I highly recommended anyone from out of town enjoying the experience of DeDALMA’S when in Tuscaloosa!!

I have been to Tuscaloosa 3 times and each time I have made it to DePalma’s. I absolutely love their Shells Florentine. If you’re traveling to or just through Tuscaloosa, make it a point to try DePalma’s….you won’t be disappointed.

Google has been begging me to review this place, so here ya go.
I’ve been in Tuscaloosa for 30 years. I’ve yet to secure a table here. The dining room is very small, and the last time I walked by they had folks standing at a barrel and somehow considered that a dining experience. Only ever looking through a window, the food looks good, the decor is nice , and local chatter says this is some of the best food in town, but that shall remain unconfirmed.
You’re better off going to Sugo down the street.

I’ve been giving this place the opportunity to get better for years now but it’s still falling short. Most recently my daughter ordered spinach fettucini noodles and she got reg noodles. We didn’t say anything bc of how long it took to get our food. My biggest complaint would be the pizza buy the slice. The last 4 times the slice comes out the size of a small/medium pizza slice. They’re no longer the huge hanging off the plate slices. I only go a few times a year and the past 2-3 years it’s been this way. I guess they’d rather you buy the whole pizza bc at $9 a slice it’s NOT worth it. Otherwise, flavors are good and it’s your most authentic in town.

Quaint Lil place in downtown Tuscaloosa, friendly staff, great appetizers, super entrées. We ordered the stuffed shells with Asiago cream sauce, extra mushrooms. Outstanding!
Wife had Mediterranean pasta with Salmon, there was so much, and so good, she brought some back to hotel for another day.
Bread was a good accomplice with meal.
If we do return any time soon, it’s on the list to go back to.
