This is my first time stopping in La Grande to eat. I had an untimely breakdown on the highway and reserved a hotel room in the area. It just happened that Dennys was next door.
I’m not a big fan of Dennys as they can be a big hit or miss. This Dennys does not disappoint. They are a busy location and my customer service experience was great. My server was Macy Rae… very friendly and on top of her game.
The young lady that sat me down appeared as if she was ready to get off work already. Macy didn’t give me that vibe.
My choice this evening was the Cali Club Sandwich. I assumed the picture in the menu was going to be an exaggeration of what you would actually get in person. I was surprised that my sandwich was not anything less than the picture. I was pleased… a bit pricey but in line with the rest of the items on the menu.
If you have any doubts about stopping here, don’t you worry. You won’t be disappointed.
I hope your visit here is/was as good as mine.

Food Hot and to order requests. Very attentive gentleman waiter. Fantastic customer service. Atmosphere a bit distracting with music mix, hard to know the rudeness of the other customers though. Thanks for a great start of our travels.

I wish Denny’s had vegan, not just plant based, options. I ended up just getting black coffee, which was really good. I went for breakfast in an attempt to score some oatmeal. They don’t even have that I guess!

Shari’s, IHOP and Elmer’s are in the same situation, so it’s not like I’m trying to pick on Denny’s.

Probably one of the best Denny’s experiences I’ve ever had. The place was super clean, our server Joan was AWESOME, and the food was spectacular. We stopped in with all 4 kids and not a single one wasn’t raving at the end – even the super picky one! 5 stars all day, nice job guys.

Super Friendly Staff!
The host and hostess along with the waiters and waitresses are always extremely friendly, polite, and accurate. This Denny’s feels more like a cozy family owned restaurant rather than the nation wide chain it actually is. Prices are very affordable for any budget. The menu is fairly large offering everything from breakfast to dinner and everything in between. Most other Denny’s I have been to in the state and out of state have all in my opinion been 2 to maybe 3 stars based on friendliness, accuracy, and overall yumminess of the food. This Denny’s goes above and beyond with their outstanding service. With all that being said this Denny’s is a strong 4 stars based on staff preformance, and 3.5 stars for quality of food. Don’t get me wrong, the food isn’t bad, it always taste good. The food just isn’t on the level of a restaurant providing all fresh and or local ingredients with professional chef recipes. Overall a great place for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a cozy family friendly atmosphere. Definitely recommend this Denny’s!

Everything was really good. We liked our waitress. It was a little busy so it did take awhile to get our food. It was good though when we got it. I did have to send my bacon back because it wasn’t crispy enough for me. They were great about it .
