By far the best Denny’s I’ve been to. I work traveling all over the country, and it’s not easy to find people who love their job and have such a great attitude. There were only two workers, I think, but everything came out fast. I felt very well taken care of, and the food was excellent—the meat was cooked to the perfect point, and finished with a salted caramel coffee, super recommended. Shelly was the server and Christian was the cook. Definitely adding this place to my list of favorites.

well….I forgot to take a photo of my food because it was SO GOOD. Rocket is a chef who has been here for years and Jennifer made my experience pleasent. She immediately sat me at a clean table with all my stuff for my lemon water in seconds. I ordered the same thing I have been ordering at a different dennys which is the banana Carmel breakfast slam. it came out with HUGE portions. eggs were cooked perfectly. not runny not dry just Perfect. I always add cheese because the other dennys eggs are so dry. Not here ! I think Rocket is secretly sliding love in those eggs because I felt it! the sausage was so crispy and perfect! I always add toast because the other place isn’t enough. I stayed hungry. I didn’t need the toast here …but I’m still glad I got it. it was sooo buttery! Then… the pancakes. oh man the pancakes. I was ready for the normal little dab of cream and caramel and a few bananas. NOPE . this thing perfectly filled in the pancake just like the photo and drenched in banana and caramel. I couldn’t finish it! then Jennifer came and made sure I was good and if I needed anything!! her warm smile reminds me of my Own abuelita! it made me feel at home. so I will no longer be going to the other dennys in 5 points where a girl name Krystal sighed at me for asking for a menu … I will be coming here. it was so gooddd!

Conveniently located right off the highway, this hidden gem shines through the night brighter than Friday night lights in the fall. Don’t let the humble appearance fool you, the food is always fresh and served hot. The atmosphere is lively with that home town feel and a friendly team that exudes southern hospitality at its finest.
Be sure to ask for Shelly, like jelly but way sweeter, whose charisma will surely blow you away.

The food was great. Stopped in for a late brekkie and had a delicious omelet. Our host was very attentive and personable. Our server, Shelly (like jelly but way sweeter) was delightful and always ready to freshen my cup with more coffee. Plus! She has a lovely singing voice. You can always tell when someone is happy doing what they are doing when they can’t help but sing along to the music! Shelly’s great attitude spilled over into all aspects of her service. Thanks for a great experience!

Shelly was amazing as our waitress. Very entertaining and so sweet! She was on top of everything during our meal and made the whole experience delightful! Highly recommend her as your waitress. Also, beautiful singing voice. I agree with the otger table, she should be on American idol!

We were a large party of musicians, road crew, and their respective “plus ones,” in town for a performance at Brewster Street Icehouse the night before.
It was the morning after the show and about half of us arrived first. We gave the hostess a heads up that we may have more people coming in and she sat us in a spot where we could easily expand the table and seating arrangement.
Shelly (Rachell) was our server and was so welcoming! As the rest of the group straggled in over the next 15 minutes or so, Shelly handled them with grace, getting their drink orders and answering their questions about the menu items. All of our orders came out at the same time and there wasn’t one mistake. I also want to add that our food was ready in a reasonable amount of time given that we were about a dozen people and there were a few other families there, too. So, props to the chef(s) on that! Shelly kept our coffees hot and drinks topped off! (Bonus!)
Overall, you won’t be disappointed with this location. (They even had decorations up for Valentine’s Day! ❤️ ❤️)
UPDATE (October ’25) ️
We are back in town and just had breakfast. We were lucky to have Shelly as our server again and she is just as bubbly and vivacious as she was on our first visit. The place was packed today but we were seated and had our drinks in a heartbeat. Once again, they’re decorated for the holiday and there was no shortage of smiles and good spirits here. True Texas!
