Stopped in for a late lunch. Ordered the sirloin plate. Sirloin was ordered medium well. It was a little overcooked. No biggie. But a third of the steak was gristle and fat. See photo for the inedible portion that wouldn’t cut with a knife. Also ordered soup with the plate. It never came, until after the meal was done and they were remaking the steak. Reminded the (very kind and sweet) waitress three times before getting it. Won’t be stopping back at this one, and I like Denny’s!
Update: second state came out perfect. Chicken soup was a little better than lukewarm so I didn’t finish it.

My husband, our son and I were loading across the street at the cold storage and it was supposed to be a later evening appointment. We decided to sit at the truck stop across the street and watch the football games. It came close to supper time and I told my husband about Denny’s being right inside the truck stop. We decided to head in and enjoy some supper outside of the truck. As we were walking in, a GIANT SIGN on the sign of the building said, “Driver Appreciation, Professional Drivers enjoy 20% off” and it had the Denny’s logo in the corner. My husband and I were like, score we will get a discount as well as finding a restaurant right in the truck stop. Upon entering the restaurant, there was a couple in a booth to our left and a gentleman at what looked like a “bar” on a bar stool. We stood there for a few minutes before we were approached by the hostess/waitress. She told us we could sit anywhere and followed us to the booth by the windows. She asked for our beverage order, I ordered sweet tea for our son and a water for myself. My husband then asked about the 20% off for professional drivers, which she responded with, “no, it’s 10%”. He said ok and then asked for a mountain dew. Apparently this location only has coke and sprite for soda choices. We looked over the menu and decided on our order. When she returned, she asked if we decided and I ordered mine and then what our son was going to have. She was swaying back and forth like she had somewhere to be and we were holding her up. My husband ordered his food and asked if he could substitute something for the eggs because he was not really interested in any eggs this evening. She stated it could be substituted with bacon, so my husband agreed and she walked away. We were in the restaurant for a total of 40-50 minutes, from entering to paying for our food and leaving. During this time, our waitress brought us our drinks, took our order and then brought us our food. My husband stood up and started wiping our son’s hands off and she approached him with the bill and I requested a to-go container. She brought me the to-go container and then walked to the register for my husband to pay the bill. After walking out of the restaurant my husband stated that there was no discount applied to our ticket and that the sign stating there is a discount of any kind should be removed if they are not going to honor it or even after correcting my husband she didn’t apply that to our bill either. During our meal, there were a few customers that came into the restaurant and stood at the front waiting for her to notice and then associate or interact with them. Let’s just say, the food was the only thing that made this experience worth it, and it was really only my husband’s order that was worth saying anything about, as the cinnamon roll pancakes that me and our son had were nothing like what they were described to be and they were very dry, with the icing only on the top pancake, very disappointing. So, as I said, my husband’s order was the only one worth making a positive comment about, talking about, and is the only reason they got more than 1-Star. He ordered the Apple Crisp Pancakes and they were rather impressive. The amount of apple crisp and caramel syrup was a perfect ratio between toppings and pancakes, and the taste was incredible. With that said, the hash browns were a little pathetic and looked like they were basically warmed through and only part of them had actually touched the hot surface allowing them to be browned. Unfortunately, I didn’t have my phone, nor did my husband, to get pictures of our food, but I am attaching the picture of the GIANT SIGN and our receipt. So, all in all, I do not recommend this location, but I do recommend the Apple Crisp Pancakes, as they are a limited tine thing, they are worth trying at your favorite Denny’s location, or any other location than this one.

Worst of worst experience in this location,I ordered the bourbon chicken sizzlin that was not cooked and I never eat that kind of chicken.it feels like not real or uncooked. The staff is very rude and they not refund the money, even not replace the meal. There’s a guy maybe the manager he’s don’t care the customer.I give them 0 Zero star.

Wow I’ve never had nicer people serve me. As soon as I walked in was greeted cheerfully, was sat down immediately. Even though she wasn’t my waitress she asked for my drink and then an another waitress stoped and asked if I needed anything since my waitress hadn’t gotten to me yet. And it was only within 5 minutes of sitting down. Then my waitress matilla came and she was the most sweetest and observant server I’ve ever had. She asked for my name and used it the entire meal, I also heard her do it to all of her tables and she remembered every single one which is amazing. She would talk to you and could tell it wasn’t just customer service it was her being genuine. I’m someone who won’t ask for things because I’m a people pleaser, but she somehow would notice and read my mind and offer what I needed. Then as I left she gave me a sweet message from her own personal beliefs and it just really touched me. She is one heck of a waitress. The food was great, I got seated where it was freeeeezing cold but the lady at the checkout even apologized without me saying anything. I’d definitely come back to see matilla

Hello, to my fellow friends who love food like me!
First time at this denny’s, it is connected with the gas station. It’s also like a truck stop for truckers which is nice for them! When we got there we put our name on the waiting list to get a table it took awhile for us to get a table not to much but for the ones in front of us it took them almost a hour waiting for one yikes that’s what, I heard maybe true not true. The service was good the young guy was doing his job wonderful serving us. I got Zezty Nachos and found items not sure if it was hard stuck ground beef but it did have something nothing to big just explaining I found something hard maybe that part of the ground beef or cheese got overcooked ♂️ I know that part of the food detail doesn’t look good but it was alright.
I’m pretty sure it took awhile to get seated for some customers because there wasn’t that many employees at the time it is a small city outside of Dallas to the east! So it might not always be to busy for the manager to clock in more waitresses or workers.

I had a very disappointing experience with Assistant Manager Melodie during a recent visit. I placed two separate orders, but only one was brought out. I handed the bag to my son while calmly explaining to Melodie that there was another order. She checked the screen, called out the second order, and when I confirmed that was it, she power walked pass me over to my son and snatched the bag off his arm without saying anything he looked confused and nervous as well trying to get it off his arm while tugging it because it got stuck, she shouldn’t have interacted with him at all.
When I asked why she did that, she simply said she needed to check it. There was only one item in the bag, yet she went through it as if she was looking for something missing. She then handed it back to me without a word and continued to have an attitude for the rest of the interaction.
Later, when I returned to the restaurant to discuss the situation calmly with a manager only to find out she is one, I overheard her talking about the incident with other customers, which was unprofessional. When she finally approached me, she did so with a smirk, saying, “Oh, you had another order,” in a sarcastic tone. I explained again what happened and how she took the bag from my son instead of simply asking for it. She denied everything, saying there were cameras to prove it and that she “wouldn’t have done that.”
Whether or not the cameras confirm it, her attitude, lack of professionalism, and dismissive behavior were unacceptable, especially from a manager. It’s really unfortunate because I’ve always had positive experiences at this location, but Melodie’s behavior completely ruined that. Denny’s should take this as an opportunity to remind their leadership team that customer service and respect go a long way and ensure all customers are treated with respect and courtesy.
