We went here on 03/01 around 5 PM as a group of four, and what should have been a simple dinner turned into a surprisingly bizarre experience.
We were immediately told multiple items were out of stock. Not ideal, but fine, it happens. What didn’t make sense is that we were the only people dining in. The only other activity in the restaurant was a DoorDasher drifting in every so often like a supporting character in the background. It was not busy.
When it came time to order, the server didn’t greet us, didn’t smile, didn’t ask what we’d like. He simply walked up to the table and stood there in silence, staring expectantly until we realized we were apparently supposed to just begin. It felt less like dining out and more like being summoned.
Drinks were not refilled. Our food sat under the heat lamp while we watched it slowly age in real time before it was finally brought to us.
Again — we were the only table.
And then, the ultimate offense: I was openly judged for ordering mashed potatoes and French fries as my two sides. I will not apologize for appreciating potatoes in multiple forms.
Diversity in starch is a personal right.
Overall, the service felt detached, awkward, and strangely dramatic for a completely empty dining room. Not the welcoming or attentive experience we expected.

I visit this Denny’s monthly with a group of friends. Sometimes there are 25 or more of us there for a breakfast. It is refreshing to have a business that is accommodating and flexible enough to take care of our group.
Shannon is the waitress that usually waits our group (BY HER SELF) and she does a incredible job, is cheerful, and never seems to break a sweat. Noel has made it easy for us to meet at this location for the past two years or so and we really appreciate him figuring out a way to accommodate us.

Our server Shannon was wonderful working with our group. Great personality and every order was spot on. Noel the manager for this Denny’s has a great crew and should be proud of his staff.

I got the nachos and they were really good. I also got the double Berry and banana pancake slam and it was also amazing! I get those 2 every time I come here. The waiters are also really nice. Ive been going here ever since I can remember and every time it amazing ❤10/10 would recommend

Excellent service. I come here a lot with my gf’s grandpa. He lives in town and is a regular here. The manager is always extremely nice, shakes grandpa’s hand and always brings it with the kind, attentive service. So shout out to Noel (I think that’s his name) thanks for taking good care of us and everyone else who walks through the door. Much appreciated.

My wife and I have breakfast here at Dennys on the regular, when we are here we fill so so welcomed. The food we order is brought to us in a timely manner and fresh, even when the restaurant is full and busy! The Manager is always out providing support to his staff!

We walked in and told staff we needed a table, she says right this way to a both. I told her a table! She said we would have to wait for table, we said ok. Then another worker asked us the same thing knowing we just talked to the other staff person.Went to restroom, husband asked about back room it was reserved. People left table they cleaned it , and were seated to a table that was super wet!!!!!!. Took forever to place order, food came out. Had to ask again for extra napkins. My husband food was served in a chipped dishes, my pancakes were like rubber. A different person ask how we were and got a container to go, waitress no where in sight had to go up to register to pay bill. Told her about dish and she had no clue that you don’t serve food in crack or chip dishes. It’s better to go there at in the evening then during the day!!!!

We had breakfast at Denny’s Monona location this morning just before noon. Yhey were getting slammed. People everywhere. We sat at the counter and immediately got seated. Noel was amazing to watch clearing the waiting area faster than I haver seren several times while we were there. We were given drinks immediately upon sitting by our waitress Sara. She took pur order fast and we got our food unbelievably fast. Food was good and it was sure fun to watch thisstaff work together so well with Noel pitching in and letting the staff know what he needed from them. Done with a great attitude he staff worked very hard for him.

Noel, was the manager on shift, and also our server, he was so energetic and made it such a great dinning experience! This has been my favorite Denny’s location! He does above and beyond! Will definitely keep coming to this location!!

Excellent customer service every time I go to this location. My food is always fresh and comes out in a timely manner. Noel is awesome and keeps things running smoothly. Always a positive attitude. This is the only Denny’s location in Madison that I go to and I am never disappointed.
