Umm… I don’t know where to start. My experience wasn’t satisfied at Denny’s. I guess my expectation was high. The table and the seat wasn’t clean fully. The restaurant atmosphere classic American style breakfast/diner. No waiting line. We went there on Sunday. So it was quiet. I would like to mention the waitress was friendly but I can’t say she’s very familiar with the menu. For example, I asked what type of tea they have and she said only black tea. I looked at the menu and saw they serve herbal tea, so, I ordered. She brought me black tea I asked her I ordered herbal tea on the menu, not black tea. She said she doesn’t know what is herbal tea so she thought that is her al tea because it is a bag tea, not from the pot. She added they might ordered wrong tea. Lol anyway. I ordered Berry Stuffed French Toast Slam, it came French Toast Slam (this on me, I didn’t complain about it, but when I ordered I pointed my finger Berry Stuffed French Toast Slam) anyway, they prepare french toast bread from brioche however it is brioche. It was super hard like stone. I had to use steak knife to cut it, yes no joke! ♀️ I replaced pork sausage to turkey bacon, it was absolutely yummy! Chef cooked bacon over. It was crunchy lol i don’t know if that is the regular style but it wasn’t tasty. The scramble egg was okay. Tea cup had stains. Honestly, overall it wasn’t a clean place and that irritated me, no lie. I also like the menu material lol it was durable, not sure acrylic. Denny’s is not my recommendation list.

First time at the Colonial Heights location since the one in Hopewell closed. Very sad about that we really enjoyed going there. CH wasn’t busy when we first got there. We had pretty good service. Waitress was polite.
My favorite lunch menu item is the bourbon bacon burger. It doesn’t disappoint. Always a good sandwich at Dennys. Cooked just right with the right amount of toppings. Great flavor! The bourbon sauce is amazing! Onion rings were good. Unsweet tea was excellent, not just colored water.
I liked the decor however the seats were ripped and things could use refreshing. Didn’t check out the restrooms.
We’ll go back at some point. We just happened to be shopping in the area and decided to try this location.

The absolute worst place I have ever eaten at. My wife and I had to wait 25 minutes on the wait list. Then had to wait 15 more minutes to have my order taken and then another 20 minutes to receive my food. There were flies on the tables and light fixtures, counters and window sills. The staff was nice and did what they could but it was a total mess!
This by far is a total joke!! I hope this gets out to good people who work hard for there money and then gets screwed big time from poor customer service, bugs (flies) odors and not food odors and over a 45 minute wait to eat!!!!!

Terrible breakfast experience! Their biscuits and gravy were the worst I’ve ever had in my life. There’s literally no gravy in it at all. The sausages were burnt and tasted very oily. Will definitely not coming back.

I had a very bad experience at this restaurant. My dish had moldy strawberries. I asked for it to be replaced, and they only removed the strawberries. They gave me the same plate contaminated with other strawberries. I asked if they could please replace it, and a woman came over to tell me the plate was fine and that it wasn’t moldy. In the end, they reluctantly brought me some crepes. But everything was awful. Poor customer service and poor food handling. I was truly disappointed.

Late night dinner after it snowed. Service was fantastic and the food was picture perfect. The strawberry stuffed french toast was exactly like the picture in the menu and was the perfect amount of sweet. The steak was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. Who ever was on the grill that night was a true chef.

2 people working on an overnight shift is insane. Cook complaining about not being able to take a break, Waitress complaining about not being on the clock but working to help her friend the cook. Just sad the way this place is being ran. The owners clearly are just collecting a check and not putting effort into anything else.The fries look cajun due to that oil probably being months old. Just terrible all around.

This is a favorite. My personal favorite restaurant. I always try to stop at every Denny’s. It is like a momma, auntie, cook away from home.
Today we experienced this restaurant and the manager, Ms. Tammy and server Ms. Brittany, were superb. They came to great us and made me feel comfortable.
As you can see, we couldn’t wait to hold for photos. Hungry? YES!, but it was so good.
I’m grateful for this stop.

It’s honestly the best Denny’s I have ever ate at. It was nice and clean. The service was amazing. My waitress was really polite and friendly. The energy in there was just all around Great. I would definitely eat there everyday if I was from the area. Shout to my server. Caitlyn I appreciate you and the kindness you showed to me and my children. Keep up the hard work.
