Richard made our visit to Denny’s absolutely exceptional. From the moment we sat down, he greeted us with a great attitude and a genuine smile that immediately made us feel welcome. He was attentive without hovering, our drinks never got low, and he had perfect timing checking in to make sure everything was going well.
At one point we told Richard to just surprise us with the food, and he absolutely delivered. Whatever he chose was fantastic—seriously, the man clearly has great taste. It felt like we had our own personal food curator for the night. If Denny’s ever needs someone to run a “trust me” menu, Richard is their guy.
What really stood out was how he balanced professionalism with a great sense of humor. Even while the restaurant was busy, he kept things moving smoothly and made the whole experience feel relaxed and fun. You can tell he genuinely enjoys what he does, and it makes a huge difference.
Great service like this is rare, and Richard went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. If you’re dining at Denny’s and Richard is your server, you’re in good hands—and maybe even in for a delicious surprise. Five stars all the way!

I’ve been eating here for a while now since it’s the closest to me, but this was my limit. I ordered to go & it was in the evening, And the person that took my order was actually nice. My issue is with the cooks. This is what I came home to, Extremely burnt sandwich.& when i came in to tell them about it. they just said “oh no sorry,” & thats it, no refund resolution.

This is a great location. Diego is my favorite. He’s always friendly, helpful, efficient, & thoughtful. He makes great suggestions and regularly exceeds expectations to the point that he raises expectations, but most of the rest of the staff are great too. I was visiting a friend this weekend & was able to stop in, and the food was good.

Went to Denny’s around 11:30pm with a bigger group and while it was quite busy around this time we were promptly helped by our server Aaron! We received wonderful service as he checked in on us during our meal and very pleasant to interact with. The food came out in a timely manner and definitely hit our Denny’s craving after a long night!

I stopped by Roberto’s Taco Shop and it was a solid place for classic San Diego-style Mexican food. The burrito was big, flavorful, and very satisfying. The atmosphere was casual and the service was quick, which is perfect when you just want a fast meal. It’s a good spot if you’re craving tacos or a hearty burrito.

Susan was very helpful and attentive made sure that everything was filled and brought out in a timely manner. Suggested upgrades and add on which we truly enjoyed. We were here for vacation but it will definitely be a stop for future trips. Once again we enjoyed out stay!

My server, Guillermo, began taking my order and assisting me with the app so he could scan the birthday reward barcode. However, while I was still speaking, he abruptly cut me off and shifted his attention to another table of Spanish-speaking guests as if they were higher priority. It was a noticeable interruption and left me feeling disregarded.
When I shared with the manager, Wilson, that the interaction had affected my appetite and came across as discriminatory, he offered no real acknowledgment or care—just, “I’ll talk to him,” and walked away. There was no attempt to understand, reassure, or make things right.
I came in with good intentions, ready to enjoy a birthday meal and even order more, but the lack of basic respect changed my plans. I ended up leaving and heading to a different restaurant instead.
I don’t usually leave bad reviews but this experience struck a nerve
