Normally I have nothing but good things to say about eating at Dennys in South Gate. But I was very disappointed with the service from my last visit there. I was given a small plate for my breakfast order and when i lifted my plate to ask the waitress for a larger one, the bacon and sausages accidentally slid off my plate. The waitress said she would bring me another plate and once again it was a small plate. I then asked for hash browns in a large plate and again she brought me a small plate with burnt hash browns. I even asked the lady that cleans the tables for a large plate but she ignored me and kept cleaning. Four times i asked for a large plate but the waitress never brought it to me. All i wanted was one large plate to have my food together. I don’t know what the issue was for not bringing me a large plate but I just felt sad snd disappointed so i didnt eat my breakfast and left everything there.

After years going to a different Dennis we decided to give this one a try due to the other one getting burn down and what a game changer. We came in today and Yessica was amazing with getting our food correct and on point. She even gave our little one snack so he would stop crying. I recommend this Denny’s 1000000%. Came on a Friday afternoon during lunch time. There is plenty of parking and we were seated almost immediately. Our server Dalia was very polite, and provided excellent service. Food was good and and bathrooms were also clean. I will definitely be returning to eat here again.

Awesome service! Food came out piping hot with little or no time at all. Ambiance was nice with yellow lights and the music wasn’t so loud! Definitely my favorite Denny’s! Samuel was extremely friendly and his service was perfect!!

On this day of September 22,2024 my husband, toddler and myself went to Denny’s store 7214 to enjoy some breakfast. At first the ambiance is great we’re greeted properly seated fair quickly and Jessica G. Approaches to take our order. We order two orange juices a cold brew coffee, and grand slam, man & cheese a fruit cup and one crepe meal with scramble egg and bacon. When our food arrives to our table my husband notices a hair on his plate. He immediately calls the server back to show them. They apologize and take it back to the kitchen. As I’m about to eat my food while my husband patiently waits I see my knife utensil dirty. My husband calls the waitress and shows her, she doesn’t acknowledge or apologize and just hands out another new set of utensil. We continue to remain polite and remain positive we know sometimes mistake happen. When my husband receives his “brand new made grand slam he notices another hair, this time is in the actual sandwich” My husband is upset at this point but remaining composure and follows chain of command asked to speak with the manager. A couple minutes later Jose approaches and my husband stands up greets him by shaking his hand. Jose ask “whats the problem” husband explained “I got a hair in my food”. Jose states “I know! That why we made you a new one!” Exclamations dude to him raising his tone of response. My husband then says “I’m talking about this brand new sandwich, what do you see in it?”. Jose immediately says “what?! I don’t see anything!” My husband says “look closer, you don’t see that at all?” Jose tone of voice escalated to “I don’t see anything I don’t know what you talking about!”
So my husband says “you know what this isn’t right clearly there’s a hair and all we want to do is enjoyed a breakfast meal but now our experience is ruined not only for me but for my wife as well” Jose says “your going to get the grand slam at no charge” my husbands says “I understand that but the whole 3 meals should be complementary because as I mentioned your service here at Denny’s didn’t fulfill expectations”. Jose immediately says “No that’s not happening” So my husband asked for contact number of the following chain of command and he did provided but after we tried to continue eating the ambiance changed. Waiters were passing around our table giving us unpleasant looks. The waitress Jessica G came with our tab and placed it hard on the table and said “have a nice day”. We felt we were being pressured to leave and honestly I stopped eating. Why should we as consumers have to feel that way. This is a matter that could’ve been easily resolved by acknowledgment of the situation and being apologetic and how to ensure of this not occurring in the future. I would suggest both individuals getting re trained on how to handle certain issues with a more positive understanding and attitude. I’ve attached images as proof and there’s no need for us to lie and make stuff up. I’m a therapist of applied behavioral analysts and I saw so many rules of ethics were being broken.

Today we stoped by Denny’s and we are very pleased . Our server illaly was amazing she is kind , courteous and gave us great service . The food was delicious , hot and flavorful. They offered us chiles toreados which were delicious . The hosts are courteous and friendly. Despite the restaurant being busy it was clean . We are very pleased and will be definitely coming back soon . Thank you illaly .
