understanding. Our food tasted great as well for a Dennys. Great portions for the price you pay. But ultimately I would say our experience was great because of our waitress!
The other server, Amanda, was sweet as could be! She popped over to our table and introduced herself and chatted for a minute. It was like we had known her for years!
Both servers were fantastic! Quick service, great tasting food, clean restaurant, everything was spot on!
10/10 would ignore my fridge and come back again.
mashed potatoes could be a little thicker and the sandwich bread could be a little lighter toasted. But it was worth the money and time so i would definitely go again!!
The staff were incredibly friendly as well. They let me sit where ever I wanted, and they let me stay in a booth and work on my laptop for a couple hours.
Speaking of that, there are outlets you can use for charging, along with free wifi that runs perfectly.
10/10, will be coming more often when I need to
Then I go to actually order and magically nothing is $5. Shocking. The $5 burrito Grand Slam on the website? Listed at $8. At that point I’m thinking what the heck, I haven’t had Denny’s in almost two years, maybe they finally figured out how to season food. So I pre-order three burritos. The website refuses to let me choose the time I’m actually going to arrive, so I’m forced to pick “15 minutes after whenever you show up.”
I get there at 10:29. They tell me the order isn’t ready, which I expected, so I sit and wait. And wait. About 30 more minutes. The cashier tells me they are behind because it’s a “pretty large order.” It’s three burritos. Not catering a wedding.
Finally the food comes out. I’m starving by now, so I open mine in the car thinking this must be the most incredible burrito on Earth after all that. Instead I find the most basic, bland breakfast burrito ever created. About the size of one from Taco Bell, except Taco Bell would at least give me flavor. The salsa that came with it tasted like absolutely nothing. I would have been better off making breakfast at home where food actually tastes like something.
Like I said, it has probably been two years since I’ve been to Denny’s. After today, it will probably be two more. And the best part? The website asks for a tip.
A tip. For cold, flavorless disappointment.
Thanks Denny’s. You really nailed the “never again” experience.
