Entering a Denny’s you probably do not expect much since they are 1) a chain restaurant 2) not very fanciful in their decor and 3) outdated in today’s modern restaurant landscape. However, this Denny’s was a pleasant surprise.
The decor inside is a little dated. However, in this location it only added to the charm. With a nice selection of music playing, not too loud, and a clean, well-taken care of seating area, we enjoyed the atmosphere and low-key setting.
Our server was quick, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu. She provided accurate information when my wife inquired about substitutions and was prompt with taking our order and bringing our drinks out.
My wife ordered a grilled chicken with Denny’s style potatoes. The substitution she wanted was to not have the vegetables or onions added into the potatoes which our server obliged with no issues. Her order came out correct, and my wife enjoyed the flavor and tasted of both.
I ordered the Lumberjack breakfast complete with pancakes, hash browns, eggs, ham, sausage, bacon, and toast. All items were cooked as they should be and arrived hot.
It has been a while since we last ate at a Denny’s but considering the very pleasant experience we had at this Bee Ridge location we will be going back more often.

Service was very slow, ordered the chicken fried chicken. Server took the order then after 10 minutes asked us again to confirm our order and I still ended up with the wrong plate. Those who have a fish allergy please beware, they ended up giving me the fried fish and I was very disappointed. My partner ordered an omelette and it was the smallest one I’ve ever seen. I personally have made larger omelettes using one egg. Definitely do not recommend and won’t be going to that location again.

If you want to starve on a Monday evening, go ahead and order from them. I ordered a simple hamburger combo that should take 5–7 minutes, and even after 60 minutes of the order being confirmed, nothing happened.
My delivery driver eventually cancelled after waiting, while I was still sitting at my house, starving. Honestly impressive how badly such a simple order can be handled. Save yourself the time and order somewhere else. Because these people are busy in chitchatting BS!

I’ve eaten this chain in other places . This one is particularly slow rude at times and the food is as expected however they over cook eggs to the point of making you want to go back there and teach the grill man the routine for eggs. One of the things I want to point out is how the menu is structured to cost you for every single edition which will leave you spending upwards of $20 a head for a basic commercial breakfast . It will do in a pinch if you have time to wait to be seated as they have never ever sat us in a timely manner and the waitress has been there for at least a decade that I can attest to and is never friendly nice or attentive I mean not even a smile with and attitude about seating the customer . As a guide and person who writes on a food page on where to eat . I mean this most sincerely this may not be your best choice . With all the wonderful places to frequent in Sarasota area of small local family owned business that may be your better choices see some of my other reviews Dr. Mazzeo

I have never eaten at Denny’s, but we decided to try it. Our waitress Nikki Y was great. They were short staffed/down a cook. She was still so nice and informative, she checked on each table continuously. The food came out good and hot. We would 100% recommend this location. Thank you Nikki for a great experience. I hope your night got a little better!

After having a terrible experience at taco bell Dennys came correct. Kyle came correct! Killing it serving and cooking. Guy is a beast! Working solo but he managed to take care of the whole floor and get everyone served. Legends are not born they are made and Kyle is a made man!

My wife and family have had the pleasure and the opportunity to be served by Kyle. For starters when we walk in the door he greets us with a smile and welcoming hello, even in the busiest of times. We have been coming to the specific location (Bee Ridge) for 10 years and have never had such exceptional service and wonderful conversation. He is a total gem. Been a while since I been in a Dennys. The prices were high unless you get a daily special and we got Hamburg and fries..good price but the burger was tasteless and very greasy..the bottom of bun was mushy from grease. Service was good though.

I went to Dennys. They were completely understaffed. I’m not even kidding I waited 3 hrs for my food. Like I’m so serious. We got a burger some wings. Burger undercooked and the wings were burned. So so so disappointing and I spent 80$ and left HUNGRY. DEFINITELY UPSET. WHAT IS MANAGEMENT DOING. Mind you we were the only table dinning in.
