Gyros plate $17 bucks, ok if tasted good. The onions old and nasty the tomatoes not fresh and the gyros looks like they picked it off the floor. The service is like they’re doing you a favor. Plenty of better places to find a gyros.
I won’t back take my advice go somewhere else.

Stopped by here for a quick bite between appointments. It was solid, but nothing that’ll make me start planning my next visit.

I always thought this place was a chain of Greek diners, but it’s more like the Greek McDonald’s. Fast, but not fancy.

I had the Gyro dinner, and my wife went for the skirt steak sandwich. Neither of us was wowed, but it did the job. The gyro meat was on the dry side, and even with the sauce, it didn’t quite save it. Everything was super salty, with that overprocessed taste that doesn’t do your taste buds any favors. On the bright side, the pita and Greek potatoes were actually pretty damn good.

My wife liked her skirt steak sandwich, though it was more chewy than we expected. Thankfully, I’ve got a jaw like a pro wrestler, so I took one for the team and swapped meals for a bit.

The place was packed, but the service was fast and friendly.

I might give Dengeos another shot, maybe at a different location. For now, four stars.

No matter which location you’re at Dengeo’s always serves up that greatness. This past November was the first time at this location and a delightful experience just as the first at the Buffalo Grove location.

The food here is absolutely dee-lish, basically a Chicago style grill fused with Greek and a little Italian. That’s a most ideal combo of food all under one roof.

Other than serving up awesome eats, dining room is kept clean/sanitized, prices on the delicious grub are reasonable and the service is very friendly and welcoming.

Wish we could have a location much closer to home, I live up in Beach Park in NE Lake County. Love this place and hope for continued success & prosperity for the owner(s) of this local limited chain.

Stopped by for a quick family meal, and the place was taken over by 3 different little league teams…it was insane!!! There were kids screaming and running around like crazy…the parents looked like they were waiting for Calgon to take them away!!!

Anyways, the food was pretty good… maybe stop by on a weekday if you’re looking for a quieter experience…ha ha ha ha

Would go back, the cheeseburger was FANTASTIC !!!

Umm wow, meandering for somewhere to eat after practice and BANG! Dengeos had more then 1 location, hot diggity. We love your BG location, so happy to see you growing the footprint. Locals take notice, we understand you have a lot of. Choices at your fingertips, but I am telling you, you not find a better selection, served warm & fresh, with a smile. Did I mention that you would be supporting a family that gives back to their local communities & churches. Were fans but super excited to spread the good word with this location!!

Pretty nice spot, very similar to Yorky’s in the Western suburbs if you are familiar. Kid friendly and laid back environment. Reasonable prices and reasonable (not very big) portion sizes. I wish they had a roasted/lemon Greek potato as an offering – some people put pics in their reviews but we weren’t given as an option. The gyro is the standard ground meat gyro – wish they had pork gyro too. They had helium filled balloons for kids which was a winner for us. Got crowded after 5:30 ish on a Sunday. They have the best dispenser napkins anywhere in Chicago. I mean it, it was amazing (small things in life). The only place I’ve been to that put anchovies in the Greek salad – which was fine for me but not so for the wifey. Our toddler did not like the hotdog. He said it had a “hard shell”… so he doesn’t like the casing, oh well… can’t please those kids nowadays.

I really wanted to like this place because of how clean and family friendly it seems. However after ordering a gyro plate and seeing fat uneven chunks on my plate I knew it was the end of the cone.

Also the Greek potato’s were not done. Too raw.

I may consider giving them another chance later but for now this isn’t a place I would go out of my way for.

Another “not my first time here, but first Google Review” for this place! Been to the original location in Evanston more so. Probably the best gyros in the Chicagoland suburban area. Pita and pita pieces are super tasty and flavorful. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean dining area is a plus, and they even have balloons for the kiddos.

What I liked best about this place was the portion size.
I thought $16 bucks for a gyro dinner was a lot until I got my food. I ate half for
lunch and the rest for dinner!

It wasn’t the best I’ve had but it was good enough. I would go back and try something else on the menu.

New Dengeos location. I placed an order to go, and it took about 10 minutes. Very friendly and nice staff, very clean, food is delicious as always. Loved ribs and gyros dinner. Definitely come back.
