A casual cafe counter serving Korean & Japanese favorites in roomy digs, plus wine & soju.

Nice spot in Providence with decent food. You order at the counter, which is fine, but after that, service is pretty much nonexistent — had to get up to ask for water myself. Still, the food was good enough for a solid 4 stars

Overall a great experience. I’ve seen a few reviews about the noise level and ambiance, however that was not an issue for me. I will say, the staff working tonight were very loud. As far as the food, everything was pretty good. The gyoza were underwhelming flavor-wise. The chicken karaage was fried well. The Korean ramen had a really good base. The spicy pork bibimbap could use a little more meat but overall tasted good. The green tea ice cream took a few bites to get into but was good.
Pork Gyoza 6/10
Chicken Karaage 8.5/10
Korean Ramen 9/10
Spicy Pork Bibimbap 8/10
Green Tea Ice Cream 7/10

Great food! I got the hot stone bibimbap bowl with egg and beef, very tasty.
This location is more of a food hall/cafe style of service. You pick your seat, order from the menu at the counter, this includes your drinks too. Then they will bring the food to you. They are also very good at refilling your water if that is what you are drinking and taking away dirty dishes.
If you are looking for a casual place to grab some quick food, especially for a lunch break or takeout, then I would recommend but still be prepared to wait up to 20 minutes for certain dishes. Some come out super fast, like the appetizers and small plates, others take a little extra time but the staff did inform me ahead of time that my order wouldn’t be out as fast as my friend’s vegetable dumplings.

The food was yummy and the staffs were amazingly helpful! The cashier gave us tips and warning to be sure we knew what we were getting which was much needed.
The atmosphere and the choice of choosing our own seats and ordering at the register makes it a perfect place for lunch. Will definitely be coming back soon.

Incredible food. You haven’t lived until you’ve tried their bibimbap. This may be the only restaurant I’ve ever been to that I actually have recurring dreams about. That’s how good this place is. The way the rice gets all crispy on the edge of the hot metal bowl. The flavor profiles. The quality of the proteins they have. Amazing place and an awesome atomosphere. Listen to that sizzle!

Always a great meal. Big fan of the tonkatsu and the potato spinner, very simple and filling meal. Go when it’s less busy, the darker room and the ambience is so much nicer. Food always comes out quick and I like choosing where to sit when it’s not busy

The place was very crowded. We waited for 40 mins for a place in the restaurant. Monkey balls were out of the world. I would strongly recommend that for starters. The hot stone entree was greattt !!! The pork bbq was good too. We ordered 2 of those, but they gave diff ones, and they confused us about that and gave a silly reason that they changed pan when they prepared the second pork bbq. It did not taste good. But the first pork bbq was good. Anyways, we had decent lunch on the 4th of July at Providence.

My boyfriend and I were visiting Providence and came here on a recommendation. It’s a small, moody space and the type of restaurant where you order from a counter and they bring the food to your table. The staff were not particularly friendly, but they weren’t unfriendly either. We ordered the cucumber salad and japchae to share and both were delicious! This was our first time having japchae so we don’t have any points of comparison but it was great! The noodles were a fun texture and there were tons of veggies and chicken mixed in. The portion was definitely enough to split between two people. If we lived in the area, we definitely would be back to try the other delicious-sounding things on the menu!

Very good Korean food. We got there at lunchtime and it did take a bit longer than expected to get our food from the kitchen. Also I don’t understand why the side of kimchi is so small served in a tiny condiment cup. The bbq pork belly and squid is fantastic. We also order the bbq short ribs and fish katsu. Portions are all big enough to share.
