One of the best and proper curry spots in the Bay. These guys care about their product and craft. Great spot for a quick lunch or meeting for straightforward curry.

Ordered tonkatsu curry, two sunny side eggs, and mushroom. It is really good. Curry with mushrooms is next level. So delicious.

The first time I went to demiya was a long time ago at a different location before this one opened. After this one opened I felt it didn’t taste as good as I remembered the other location being, and then when the pandemic hit, I felt it was even worse with options being super limited, but it was never bad. I just went again today and it was super tasty, they seem to be back up to speed. I definitely recommend demiya if you’re craving Japanese curry, especially now that curry house is closed. I like adding some vegetables to my curry like mushrooms and eggplant since otherwise I feel it’s a bit plain for me. Their menchi katsu and tonkatsu are both great. I’d skip on the takoyaki though.

Absolutely terrible service. I don’t know how a place with decent food can be run by staff who clearly have zero interest in serving customers. The attitude here is unbelievable—rigid, unhelpful, and outright dismissive. Instead of accommodating reasonable requests, the employees hide behind “rules” and act like doing their job is some kind of burden.

The food might be ok, but the service is so shockingly bad that it completely ruins the experience. I’ve never felt so unwelcome at a restaurant. If you actually care about being treated with basic respect, avoid this place.

Been to multiple locations and the food remains consistent across all of them.

There are many options in Cupertino and this remains as a solid go to when in the area.

The curry sauce is too thin. We can understand that they placed the deep pork on the top of the rice. However, about the udon set. They placed the deep fried pork on the plate without using a net. Therefore, the bottom is soggy.
As a restaurant which is specialized on deep fried pork and curry, both of the pork and curry are not good at all.
The order system is confusing. We ordered from our phone and then needed to NOTIFY them that we placed the order.

Solid jp curry place with a huge variety of options + massive portions. Ordered first via QR and then sat and waited until they called our order. Food seemed pretty simple and my favorite parts were the udon/katsu. Plaza parking was easy and it wasn’t crowded when my party of 5 went on a Fri evening.

Convenient new location for one of the best curry places in the US. This place has their original curry, plus a number of new options like udon and beef tongue. Wait can be long, and may have to fight for a table, but in the end it is all worth it.

I’ve been craving for Japanese curry recently and Demiya was the place that first pop up in my head!
This was the 2nd time I visited Demiya. Their curry was one of the best Japanese curry dishes I haven’t had for a long time since I moved to Bay Area from NYC half a year ago.

The waiting time could be a while. Don’t forget to check in after you place an order. We didn’t know the first time we came for dinner, so it seemed like our dish started to be made after checking in, so we waited more than 30 minutes to get our dish.

This time we ordered food before going in and checked in right away when we were there. It took about 10 minutes for our food to be ready. This time it was for lunch, so it could be different.

Tegone Cheese in Hamburg curry rice is a must order. I feel like this could be a totally separate dish because either the cheese hamburger or the curry rice tasted so awesome. The portion was really big and satisfying.

My husband ordered Curry Udon – Tonkatsu &Sunny-side up. The curry was just right in the udon, not too heavy and salty. He loved it. But he loved dipping his tonkatsu into my curry because he thought it was a better combination to have tonkatsu with heavier curry sauce.

Always like Japanese curry. This is a self service style, with indoor seating. Remember to check in with the staff after you order online if you are eating in. There is a bit of wait for the food, but worthwhile. The fried pork abd chicken were both done nicely, the curry sauce was flavorful. The buger styled curry also was delicious. Tried their chicken curry cheese bake, huge portion, a bit heavy, nonetheless, quite delicious. Service staff was very friendly.
