Not sure if it’s because it’s at Ranch99 food court so the food quality is different from other Demiya restaurants .

I ordered curry Tonkatsu udon, and the food came out just warm not hot, only the tonkotsu was hot.

Tonkatsu skin was fried well, but the pork chops has pig smell . I’ve had it more than 15 times @ Demiya Saratoga Ave locations no problem.

One of if not the best Japanese Curry restaurant I’ve tried in the Bay Area! I especially like having the option to select spice levels. Please consider start doing delivery again though, I miss ordering it for lunch!

Demiya has been (and still is) one of my favorite Japanese curry spots in the S.F. Bay Area, and I’m glad that the Fremont location opened so it’s now a 15 minute drive rather than 30+. It’s a little hidden in the food court of Ranch 99, but that makes it convenient to sit down for a meal and then get groceries afterwards (as they say, never shop hungry haha.)

Personally, I rotate between the chicken katsu curry rice, the menchi katsu curry rice, and the vegetable curry! It’s not a Kanazawa style curry – it’s not as thick, and has a more complex mix of flavors (in my opinion), which means you don’t get tired of it. The fried toppings have been consistently juicy, and the price is very amenable as well! Service is decently fast, and overall is a good choice when you need a quick meal out! The space is counter serve, so it’s relatively sparse on decor, but it’s clean, functional, and well lit.

(The onigiris are also good for a snack at home too. I’ve taken to getting one or two now and then to enjoy later)

Unironically, the best Japanese curry spot in Fremont in the Ranch 99 food court and unlike the other Demiya in Saratoga, it’s easy to find seats.

I ordered a pickup takeout, and the two staff members were busy chatting. As a result, the lid on the curry container wasn’t properly closed, and a lot spilled. Also, the pork cutlet I ordered with the udon was missing.

Bless Demiya for opening up another location in Fremont. It has always been far for people who live in East Bay but now i get to eat the best curry in the Bay Area everyday

Their tonkatsu curry is amazing and the curry flavor is out of this world. I always get an egg with mine and making it spicy ️

They have a self order kiosk as well as someone at the register so theres almost never a line when i come to order. Amazing! And the whole setup looks very cute. Since its in a 99 ranch you can grab any drinks or snacks to go with your meal as well!

More like a to-go location, though the food is good. The serving seems smaller than the main shop.
