Casual Ethiopian eatery with shared plates, house-roasted coffee & traditional music on weekends.

It may be one of the most authentic Ethiopian cuisine experiences in town. The injera has the iconic sourness, and no silverware was provided to encourage eating with the hands. Everything tasted great, except for the tiramisu, which, ironically, lacked the coffee flavor because the ladyfingers seemed to be left undipped.

Absolutely phenomenal. I’ve eaten at several Ethiopian restaurants across the county, and Demera rose straight to the top of that category. Every single dish was bursting with flavor. We enjoyed the messob platter (4 meats, 4 vegetables) among 4 people that surely could have served 5. 10/10. We also enjoyed the ye-asa tibs (whole fish), lega tibs (lamb), and sambussa sampler. The sambussa was the star of the show for me. I’d return for that in particular. We also tried the mitmita and orange crème brûlée. Woah… 20/10. Overall a lovely dining experience and packed on a Tuesday night. They deserve every penny. See you soon!

First time having Ethiopian food and it was amazing! Messob appetizer and family-style messob were very flavorful; however, the beef was too tough. Also had the tiramisu and tea. Tiramisu was a home run, but the tea was very light in flavor.
Finally, the food is a bit overpriced for the quantity you get and tends to be oily for my taste.

We had a phenomenal experience at Demera. We ordered a couple Messobs and vegetarian dishes. Everything was top notch and tasted great. The injeeras were outstanding as well. Wait staff was very efficient in catering to big crowds. And oh, the Tiramisu was second to none!

Be open minded and come try this place. Such a cool experience!!! I had lentils, mushrooms, chicken and lamb and the bread was a lil sour all the flavors hit the right spot. Delicious !!!! Had the lemon coconut cake so good!!! Also it’s so cute to see the art they have hung up with ppl eating on round tables etc. Great experience!!!!

Went for the restaurant week menu, couldn’t have been happier! Highly recommend to anyone who might feel a bit intimidated by Ethiopian cuisine. My server Feven was sweet and helpful. She made my whole experience very pleasant and I can’t wait to go back!

I had the awaze tibs, the samosas and the buna coffee. I thought every was great and it’s a fun experience since Ethiopian is quite different from the other major cuisines. Service was lovely.

Please order the creme brûlée. It’s so amazing and I can’t stop thinking about it. It was the perfect blend of sweet, salty, and spicy. The texture was also perfect. We wanted to order beef but they didn’t have it so they kindly offered to make a lamb dish not spicy. The food was made incredibly fast, especially for a substitution. Our server was very kind and helpful in answering all our questions. I love that there’s plenty of seating and nice outdoor seating, too.

Food was very good, but the service was disappointing. The staff wasn’t friendly, didn’t check in on us for additional drinks, and initially forgot to take our drink order altogether. I don’t really understand the high ratings . There are plenty of places with equally good food and much better service.
