My little family enjoyed our lunch here. The building itself is gorgeous, That’s what drew me to this restaurant. The staff were really friendly. The food wasn’t anything fancy but it was cooked right & tasted good. My husband loved his fish platter! The fries were a hit for all of us too. Would eat here again.

I thought this was absolutely delicious. The batter on the fish was a little sweet. It was perfectly deep fried – really nicely crispy without being overdone. The fries were clearly at least double fried. They were so incredibly crispy.
I’m a larger person and I had absolutely no hope of fitting at their tables (everything is fixed to the floor), so I had to eat in my vehicle. I saw a much smaller patron who also didn’t fit, so keep that in mind. No big deal, really, but I always appreciate tables with moveable chairs as an option.

I ordered fish & chips for takeout, and when I opened the bag, I was greeted by an avalanche of coarse salt—an absolutely ridiculous amount. I transferred the food onto another plate in an attempt to salvage it, only to find the plate completely covered in salt. It was so excessive that it made the food entirely inedible.
Thinking this had to be some kind of mistake (or a strange joke), I called the restaurant to speak to the manager. Unfortunately, the manager showed no real concern and told me I could get a replacement meal if I returned to the store with the paper plate that I had thrown out.
This whole experience was disappointing. If you’re planning to order takeout, I’d strongly recommend checking your food before leaving the restaurant. Better safe than salty!

We went to Deluxe for the first time in over a year. I love their poutine so I ordered a 2 piece fish and chips made into a poutine. I don’t like my gravy on my fish so I asked them to separate them. No problem at all. I actually received an extra piece of fish. Staff was friendly, food was good. No complaints.

I’ve personally experienced no issues or concerns anytime I have dined here. I usually eat in. There is a large eating area inside. This is a standard Deluxe French Fries location offering the usual items you’d expect. Prices have definitely increased over the last few years: $20 for a clubhouse platter and a fountain pop seems excessive.

I placed a take out order in west Saint John store on Jan 10, 2 fish and chips and one chicken strips and fries, the fish and fries were awful way under cooked, and fries on chicken fingers were way under cooked, extremely soggy. Chicken fingers was the only thing cooked right. I have ate at West Saint John restaurant often and this is the worst meal I have ever had, I have never had a complaint before. I contacted the west Saint John location and they will do nothing, I am a man of my work, I will never step foot in any deluxe locations again. And I will spread this all over the internet.

The fish was so tiny, it was over cooked 4 sure, barely worth what I paid. The fries were not too bad. I know Fredericton’s Deluxe, the portions are much better. I love going to Deluxe but I was really disappointed, sorry…

Sorry, I’m originally from England so when I saw the Deluxe Fish and chips sign I was kind of excited.
I needn’t have been…….. for anyone of the same background it’s like someone went shopping to Bejam frozen foods and stuck it in a fryer. Yes the staff are nice and friendly but what’s the point when the food is bland and tasteless. Tried it once, won’t be doing it again.
