The DeLuxe started life as a tavern at the close of Prohibition. In the late 1950s, a small grill was added in the back, which became famous for pumping out mammoth baked potatoes (think size 11 men’s shoes) and cheap steak dinners to go along with an ever expanding beer selection.

One of my favorite places to get burgers. It’s a little pricey but they’ve always been consistent, which I really appreciate. I ordered the double smash burger and it did not disappoint. The tater tots are also really good (extra $3 to substitute) crispy and delicious. The place has a nice vibe. Customer service can be a bit mixed, but I’ve never had a truly bad experience; most of the time it’s been good. Parking is street parking only, so it can be a little tricky. Overall, I highly recommend this spot!

Deluxe Bar & Grill has some of the best burgers in the city. Tried the double smash burger and it was deeeelicious! The burgers are always cooked perfectly and full of flavor, and I never skip the crispy tots with their tartar sauce — it’s an amazing combination and a big part of the experience for me.
This is definitely one of my favorite spots for a “treat yourself” meal. The atmosphere is relaxed, the food is consistently great, and the service is always friendly and attentive. Highly recommend if you’re craving a top-notch burger and comfort food done right.

This is a great place for Happy Hour. While I enjoyed a fresh Pilsner, I like many others, have been moving to NA beers. I would be much more inclined to return to the Delux if they added some premium NA options (in addition to Athletic) to their list. Here are a couple of award winners.

Deluxe has been our happy hour go-to on Capitol Hill for years. It’s one of the few places that still has Old Seattle vibes and usually decent food and service. But they just keep jacking their prices and decreasing the amount of food. $20 at happy hour = a beer, 2 tiny chicken tenders, and a handful of sad fries. Are potatoes really that expensive now? I hate to stop supporting what was once a solid establishment, but it’s just not worth it anymore.

I went here to kill time after the wine bar across the street refused to serve me because I didn’t have a physical debit card- silly me thinking this couldn’t get any worse! I walk in hostess had weird vibes I also couldn’t tell if they worked there or not. I get a table for myself in the bar LITERALLY sitting there for over 10 minutes while the bartenders are looking at me and still no service. I just wanted a glass of wine what is wrong w this area. Would not recommend.

One of my favorite neighborhood bars with great atmosphere, food, and drinks. Chill atmosphere and great vibes from all the regulars.
Great selection of beers and ciders on tap as well as a very well stocked liquor bar.
The staff is super friendly and accommodating as well. Highly recommend their breaded pork cutlet and their grilled cheese with tomato basil soup
Pool tables in the back as well if you want to do a round with friends!

I’m an Ohioan on vacation in Seattle, and after 3 days of seafood and trendy food, I just wanted a juicy BURGER. And Deluxe delivers. The burger was juicy and flavorful, and the tatertots I got with it were perfectly crispy. Highly recommend if you’re craving a great burger.
