4th of July! 1st time to DeLunas’. Read the reviews so had to try the Dark Chocolate Truffle ice cream. Sweet, but bitterness from dark chocolate and sweetness at bottom – a surprise brownie. Plenty for 2 people so good that we shared. Hot dog and French fries delicious too. Just hot and packed for 4th of July. But great celebration!

The official name is Deluna’s Chat and Chew. It’s by the waterfront/pier across Jaco’s. I had a waffle cone of heavenly hazelnut which was $4.25 plus tax. It’s dark chocolate base and it was decent. The hours posted was 11am to 5pm daily.

Love the ice cream & the staff is friendly & fast. My fave is the Dark Chocolate Raspberry Truffle.
But know that they don’t keep to the posted hours so it’s hit or miss if they’ll be open. I understand that they probably don’t get enough business on cold or rainy days to make it worth their while.

We ordered loaded fries and a root beer float. Loaded fries were excellent. The ice cream in the float was a bit freezer burnt, but the taste was not off. I would absolutely eat here again. It’s a nice outdoor snack place AND it’s near the water. 🙂
