I wasn’t sure what to expect walking in as it was an eclectic vibe, and untraditional restaurant. The booths were held together by duct tape but it added a bit of charm. The food was absolutely incredible. Each dish we had was on point. Chicken poyboy, dirty Mac, gumbo, hush puppies and catfish were so good. The drink specials were plentiful and the one we had (can’t remember the name) was perfect for a hot day. On top of all this, the service was amazing. Definitely go and enjoy this gem in Woodstock.

Fun spot with tasty bites. A little on the gritty side, but worth a stop. Great prices, friendly staff and tasty food options. Dirty Mac, OMG!!! Doesn’t seem to be any A/C so can get a touch warm inside.

Maybe I just ordered the wrong food. It’s entirely possible that I picked the three things this restaurant has but isn’t very good at making.

The smoked brisket hash is one of the tastiest dishes in the city, this is like the only bar that is 100% upfront about the cost of all their liquors, and the servers have always been really cool and attentive. Great place!

Disclaimer: I’m from the south and I’m a bit of a harsh critic on southern food. The food was super good. My fried chicken leg was AMAZING but the thigh was dry. Red beans and rice were pretty good but could use more seasonings/spice. Mashed potatoes for me just weren’t great. The fried okra was super good and the ranch was amazing. My girlfriend got vegan bbq tofu sandwich and she was crazy about it. She loved her vegan collard greens. We both got drinks from the bar. She got a mint julep and loved it. I got a well margarita and it was really good. We ordered a sweet tea and it comes in a giant mason jar and it is the best sweet tea I’ve had here. Really good. The bartender made it fresh even though it was an hour til close and I’m so grateful that they did because it was worth the wait.

Our new go-to for weekend brunch! Great southern brunch! We lived in New Orleans for 5 years, and it’s a great reminder of life there. Large portions, easy to share, low-key vibe with plenty of open tables on a Saturday morning, boozy cocktails for cheap, kids play area and even a fountain with some koi! Brisket hash was really tasty. Will return often!

So happy my local bar was open late when I needed to have other people cook for me.

Can’t say enough about this place! Divey feel with the opposite of divey food and drinks! The hot toddy was amazing and so was my cardamom old fashioned. It was the me. And the wifes birthday week and they took care of us better than we could have asked for. Can’t wait to come back here over and over again

The fried catfish appetizer was the beginning of a night full of flavor. The catfish was seasoned and fried perfectly, crunchy on the outside but soft and flaky inside. For entrees we had the fried chicken with mac n cheese and mashers and the brisket with collard greens and mashers. The brisket was phenomenal. Melt in your mouth tender, perfect and well balanced seasoning and the right amount of sauce. The collard greens were also top notch, not soft and mushy but with the bitterness cooked out. The fried chicken was drool inducing with just enough spice to get your attention. Mac n cheese was very rich and cheesy. The mashers weren’t great and were visually unappealing. Our friends had the grits as a side and offered us a taste…amazing consistency, seasoning and texture. Anytime I’m in the area I will make sure to stop in.
