Great little gin joint right on State St. in downtown Bristol. Being from PA, I like to give the local establishments a try and this place did not disappoint.
The catfish platter was maybe the best catfish I’ve ever had!!! I paid $14.99 for this delectable meal. Hardy portions with plenty of sides to choose from. Although they serve deep fried (yes, FRIED) corn on the cob which is a MUST! Only to be outdone by the catfish!
A-mazing!!!
Great little place to stop in for an unforgettable meal and great atmosphere. Looks like they have live music also in the evening. I went on a weekday afternoon and was seated right away. The staff was super friendly and attentive.
Stop in and get the catfish. You will not be sorry.

Purchased the 5 meat platter – every meat was exceptionally dry and brittle. There is zero smoke flavor which is what makes BBQ great. Baked beans taste like pure sugar. Okra was good. The pork rinds were off the chart amazing with Cajun seasoning and pimento cheese spread which was great all its own. Sime foods might be great but ours was well below standard. Dry ribs and crunchy dry meats is not our standard – the 5 meat platter has very small portions – will feed 2. Smoked sausage means a few pieces not a whole smoked sausage. Disappointed with meats but might return for the pork rinds.

Got the chicken philly, it had great flavor and was stuffed full. The baked beans were delicious and so were the Cajun fries.

It was a bit pricey …. However, the food was good. I had burnt ends and rib platter w/fried corn in butter brown sugar rub and collard greens. I will say the ribs and the collards were by far the best on the platter.
Environment’s got a cool blues type of vibe with blues music in the background playing and a lot of different paraphernalia as you’ll see by the pictures.
If you’re ever in Bristol I would definitely recommend stopping in. The food and the experience are well worth it.
Thanks for such friendly service and good food!

Delta blues in Bristol Virginia is one of my favorite places to eat! The vibe that they let off as soon as you walk in is amazing and they always make you feel welcome like you’ve been a part of their family forever! I always make sure my family knows that delta blues is the best place to go for your barbecue cravings. Not to mention their banana pudding is to die for!!! Melt in your mouth, make Paula Deen jealous! 😉 everybody go to Delta blues!!!

Excellent BBQ with good atmosphere and vibe along with pretty decent prices. They have really unique specials like on Cajun Tuesday you can get Cajun shrimp, oysters, and even alligator. The staff was super friendly. They could use more dessert options but otherwise this place is great! You should have no qualms coming here!

Good food, -smoked chicken was top notch! Unfortunately brisket and burnt ends were mediocre at best, above average collards and fries(swirl potato wedges). Walked by every day Thursday-Sunday, but unfortunately no live music… still nice location downtown Bristol.

Love it! First time here and they let us ask a bazillion questions before we ordered. Was delicious! We were sitting here reading reviews and came across a review about the awesomeness of the ribs and got a half rack to try and delicious doesn’t even begin to touch those. FALL OFF THE BONE JUICIEST I HAVE EVER HAD!!!!!!!
