The Roadside is a “fast-casual” dining experience which serves healthier, fresh, premium menu options. The Roadside is a part of our Del’s Farmhouse Creamery premium ice cream brand. We currently have locations in Kinderhook and Rhinebeck, NY. At Farmhouse we support the communities we operate in, while connecting customers to our farm-based products. We are proud to be straight from the farm and combine old school values with new school tastes. Food was decent. Not the greatest but definitely far from the worst. Staff was ok. The bigger dude was cool and answering questions. The flamboyant dude was kind of a jerk. Parking is decent. The place looks good from the outside. The inside however is a different story. That place needs a makeover big time. The floors are horrible and there’s too much open space. It feels like a cafeteria in a nursing home up in there. Add some decor. Food I’d say 3-4 stars. Staff 4 stars for big guy, 1 star for the flamboyant guy. Atmosphere and decor, no. Prices are not bad. The burger was decent, the fries were fries. The chicken popper things, nope, don’t do it. Would I stop here again? Maybe. Would I dine in? Nope. The nursing home dining area is a no go. I get that it used to be a showroom room for 4-wheelers but ya can’t just leave it like that, and drop a few tables in there and expect to have a good atmosphere. Do better. 3.5 stars. Flamboyant guy, 1 star………..

I got the grilled chicken sandwich, dinner companion got the fried chicken sandwich. Both are a good size piece of chicken, juicy and tasty. We split a cup of fries and had some left over, also very good. We each got a yummy chocolate shake to round out the meal. Hoping they’ll have the boozy shakes at this location soon!

This place is awesome & the fries are incredible! I had some questions about the property that the server didn’t know, so I got introduced to the manager and she was so bubbly. She was helping with the kitchen and STILL came out and answered all my questions. I am very impressed. The specials with local ingredients is really what hit home for me. Thank you Del’s for coming to Kinderhook, NY!
