The absolute best burger in Richardson for decades! I got a double cheeseburger with hickory sauce and a root beer and I wish I ordered two. Even though I was already full, that classic charcoal burger flavor is addicting. Almost as addicting as their homemade root beer, which is enhanced tenfold with a frosted mug. The environment is fantastic as well, it’s like stepping right back to the 60s with classic and unchanged diner interior. It was packed inside on a Saturday afternoon, but it was a great chance to enjoy the breeze with the small outdoor table outside. Would highly recommend to anybody who enjoys the best of the best of burgers.

Great restaurant with a wonderful environment! I’m not a big burger eater myself, so all I got was some fries and a root beer, but my girlfriend got a guacamole burger combo, and she really really enjoyed it! The fries and root beer were great too, but the portion size for both was frankly a bit disappointing. I was really comforted by the atmosphere—I’m not very country, but all of the decor and the structure of the restaurant gave it a very home-y, classic air that made me feel at home and enthusiastic. Overall, great place with great food!

I ordered a #12 combo, the food was very delicious and the gentleman at the counter was very friendly. Very family oriented restaurant. I will be coming again, I was told their chicken sandwich was aamzing!

This place is known for their root beer and hamburgers. I love everything about Del’s quaintness, but I wish they offered gluten-free buns. I can no longer have wheat products. Most restaurants are adapting their menus to accommodate this issue, but Del’s is not one of them. I ordered a hamburger without a bun and french fries. The hamburger was really thick and grilled,but it just isn’t the same without a bun. My son ordered a burger and onion rings with a root beer float. The picture shown is his food order.

Del’s has the best truly Charcoal burgers. One of Richardsons favorite restaurants. Home town, non chain, great burgers. Place your order when you come in and get a number. Our food was, as always, delicious. They also serve old fashion root beer that they make on site. It’s not a fancy place, but one of the best burgers you can eat.
