Stopped in for lunch on their Grand Opening and the line was out the door. Definitely have to be patient as they’re working out the small details, but I can already tell this place is going to make it. It’ll be a well oiled machine in no time.
Picked up two hero’s:
– The Chicken Italiano – 10/10
Chicken Cutlet, Prosciutto, Capocollo, Provolone, Roasted Peppers, Lettuce, Balsamic Glaze
– The Chicken Pesto Caprese – 10/10
Chicken Cutlet, Fresh Mozzarella, Tomato, Basil Pesto, Arugula, Balsamic Glaze
The fresh toasted bread, cutlets, mozzarella, the quality is top notch!
They’ve also got a few other items to check out like Macaroni Salad, Sausage Links, and a couple desserts including Tiramisu and Rainbow Cookies! I already can’t wait to go back and try a breakfast sandwich.
Thanks again Hal & Team for the hospitality, I’ll see you again soon!
Went in at 1115 and there was a line, but in my opinion it was wort it. The manager who was slicing meat as fast as he could was interactive and greeted as many of the customers as he could. For the restaurant being opened for one week and the amount of the customers they were serving, the crew cranked out sandwiches as quickly as they could. Contrary to a review posted earlier today, the lady had no issues ringing us up at the register.
Definitely recommend this restaurant for a delicious authentic deli sandwich.

at World Golf Village is one of those quiet gems that wins you over the moment you walk in. It’s unpretentious, warm, and filled with the kind of aromas that instantly remind you of family kitchens and old-school Italian delis. Nothing flashy here—just honest food made with care.
Have you been to DELLA TORRE’S ITALIAN DELI yet? Everything is fresh, delicious, and paired with amazing service. Hal and Jen Della Torre, a husband-and-wife team originally from Brooklyn, officially opened the doors to their New York–style Italian deli just two miles past Costco.
Here you’ll find a true Italian deli experience in the heart of World Golf Village: breakfast sandwiches, Italian classics, salads, bowls, and some seriously delicious heroes. Favorites include the Veggie, the Spicy Chicken Italiano, the Tuna, and the New Yorker—each stacked with generous portions and served on fresh, crunchy bread. Their breakfast egg-and-cheese sandwiches hit the spot, too. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and treats you like a regular from day one.
The sandwiches are the real stars. The bread has that perfect balance of crisp on the outside and soft inside, and every bite is layered with quality meats, cheeses, and housemade spreads that taste like someone’s Nonna is supervising in the back. You can tell everything is thoughtfully assembled, not just thrown together. Their Italian cold cuts are packed with flavor, and the fresh mozzarella? Creamy, clean, and absolutely worth the hype.
The deli case is another temptation—imported goodies, marinated vegetables, and grab-and-go items that make you want to take half the shop home. Service is friendly in that easygoing, neighborhood-spot way. They remember faces, offer suggestions, and genuinely want you to enjoy what you order.
If you’re in World Golf Village and craving real-deal Italian deli comfort—something hearty, nostalgic, and deeply satisfying—Della Torres is the kind of spot you’ll keep returning to, again and again. It feels like a little slice of Brooklyn-meets-Italy tucked right into St. Augustine.
Hal the owner is a great friendly guy address him for any issues he is more than accommodating.
The heros are expertly prepared with the BEST bread anywhere around.
Make the trip to DellaTorres Deli it’s worth the trip!!
The wait, though? Forty-five minutes for two heroes was a bit much. The food was absolutely worth it, but I’d avoid peak lunch hours unless you’ve got extra time. Ordering ahead is definitely the move.
