I have not order from Delicious Tamales in awhile. I was on my way home and decided to pick up a dz of chicken tamales $14.47 (up charge for using card). I was told the chicken tamales were cold. They weren’t really cold just room temp I would say but taking them out of the husk they were hard and looked like they had been sitting out. Although they were small and not too much filling the taste was ok. Maybe it was the time of day I went that made the quality poor, but honestly I don’t think I will be picking up from here again. The lady working was pleasant and nice so not complaints there.

Service was quick, no seating is available, I went around 12pm and a couple of the flavors were already sold out, the half a dozen option was not available, and a dozen jalapeno pork tamales came out to $13.18 so about $1 per tamale plus tax.
The tamales came out fresh and hot, the masa had a good texture, and the pork had good flavor but the jalapeno/spiciness didn’t really come through. The tamales are definitely on the smaller side and have very little filling. Overall, they’re not bad but the quantity could be increased for the price that you’re paying and I’d like the choice of half a dozen so I can try more flavors.

Had the pork and bean tamales and the pork tamales were so greasy the husk was dripping grease! These hardly use any masa on the husk. As for the taste the pork lacks spices and masa falling apart the beans are actually edible getting a 2 out of 5. I know everybody’s tastebuds are different but this was a waste of $39.56 and would not recommend anyone going! Pay the extra 3 to 4 dollars per dozen and get something edible.

Its a hit or miss with the Location. I have given them so many chances. Last time not bad at all. This time it was horrible that we wont be going at all. Hard chewy pieces of pork with nasty flavor.

Will never get tamales here again. No meat and tiny red pork tamales. Ordered tomatillo chicken with cheese. Received strands of chicken if any with Philadelphia cream cheese smh. How ppl like this place I have no idea.

Went this past Sat and the woman was so kind and inviting I would just sit and drink coffee with her offered her a tip and she turned it away omg jus precious. But besides the Hot I mean hot and Fresh Tamales omg til I got home which were still blazing scorching were exactly like I remembered Thank you for our sat tradition and I will keep coming for sure as long as they are open on Grissom rd
