The atmosphere and the food were so delicious. Dunbar Spot has such a bright, cozy vibe; perfect for a relaxed brunch. The natural light and modern decor made it feel inviting without being too loud or crowded.

We ordered the breakfast spread with eggs, toast, grits, and hash; everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The grits were creamy, the eggs were just right, and the portions were generous without being overwhelming.

Service was friendly and attentive, and everything came out quickly. Definitely a spot I’d come back to for a laid-back weekend brunch.

Highly recommend if you’re looking for good food and good energy in one place.

Food is a mix of soul food and Mexican I believe. Rice and a few other ingredients could be a better quality but overall okay.
Wonderful servers and cooks. Great people who work very hard. -when we had forgotten to make reservations, they quickly made room for us.-
The restaurant tries to have live jazz, as far as I know, on Sundays 2:30 to 4:30. They made sure we didn’t miss the show. 😀
The atmosphere can be greatly important via better sound system.
Most importantly, there needs to be a better protocol for keeping the pre-recorded music from playing over the live bands. Happened twice during the last live performance I attended.
Take care of our musicians <3

We added another favorite to our list!!! Delicious was delicious .Started with Louisiana Coffee for me and my better half had Michelada with Modelo and a Kamakaze Shot, OMG so good … Food was the bomb as you can see from picks and service was exceptional. Can’t wait to go back for brunch so I can get the endless Mimosas for $25, hello .

I went for lunch with a friend during the week. It was near the holidays, so pretty empty. There was one guy working the tables and the service was fine (he was friendly but took his time to come over).

They definitely give you large portions, which I was happy about. I had the jambalaya and my friend ordered the salmon croquettes. Both were seasoned well and the accompanying corn bread was delicious. The only reason I’m giving four stars instead of five is because the chicken in my jambalaya had a slightly rubbery, processed taste/texture. Maybe I had a bad batch but to have such an important ingredient not work left me slightly disappointed.

But I still enjoyed myself enough that I would go back again. I’d just have a different dish.

My first time eating here. Recommended by one of the influencer from Tik Tok. Had the fried pork chop, home fries, eggs and biscuit. The food was delicious. Definitely will be back to try the soul food.

This historical building and the food was awesome for me. If these walls could talk I would be sure to listen. The food had great flavor and the plate was full of food. I had the jambalaya that was cooked perfect for me. Angie is a great mixologist. The chicken was fresh and cooked to perfection. Great taste. They do have live jazz nights. The restaurant is bright and inviting is the decor. This would be a great date spot. Or a great place to meet up with family and friends. The cuisine is Soul food, Mexican, Creole and Cajun. Breakfast is served until 2pm. This restaurant is in a residential area so parking is difficult.

First of all, a huge shout out and thank you to Christian. He really saved the day at the Dunbar! He is one of the most respectful, attentive, polite, and hardest working young men I have seen in a long while … and with a smile. My last experience left a poor review about 6 months ago. I returned for a second chance. The atmosphere is lovely with a nice layout of both high and low tables for comfort dining. This time, I was seated immediately after Christian answered a few questions. When he saw the other server had not taken my order, he jumped in and took care of it. He paid attention to all details, even letting me know my order was ready, but missing one piece of breast and asked if he could bring it out hot so I could get started. He went above and beyond. My entire meal was on point! There is plenty of food, great price point, and enough for a second meat in my to go box. I was so full I took Banana pudding home. After I walked around the neighborhood a bit, I returned for a few minutes for the Sunday live Jazz music. What a bonus! I highly recommend Sunday after 12:30 to catch some amazing musicians.

We went for brunch Sunday afternoon, no reservation needed. There were people but not a crowd. The service was good and attentive, if a little slow at times, but very nice and receptive. The food and drinks were delicious. We had the oxtails and short ribs. Limited, but beautiful parking lot. No wheelchair accessible parking but accessible entry and seating. Live music, clean decor historical location I’ll recommend and revisit.
