Started working down the street and was looking for places to eat during my lunch break. When I walked in the vibe was welcoming and all the employees were super nice. The pizza was really good too and overall, i had a great lunch. Definitely coming back.

I think the food here is okay but the portions amount of meat and taste is never quite the same. I think they need to work on their consistency to be pricing as much as they do but that’s Long Beach for you. I ordered the daily special of Mac and cheese w/bacon and they refused to tell me how many strips or pieces of bacon. I don’t think it was enough but like I said consistency just be prepared to have a different experience every time you are here

Haven’t been here in years only because I moved away but had a hankering for a sandwich today and made my way over here. I didn’t know what I wanted, and more than a few things sounded good, so I asked for a recommendation, and it hit the spot ! I got the Italian Roast Beef Hot Sandwich and a side garden salad. The sandwich was the best I’ve had in a loooong time. The bread was toasted and perfectly crispy on the edges. The meat was warm and juicy with generous portions. Lettuce was cool and crisp. It was comfort food that I didnt know I needed. The staff were all so friendly and kind. Restaurant was welcoming with some music playing overhead while other patrons enjoyed dinner. I will definitely be visiting again soon.

I like to eat the pizzas and sandwiches here fresh, their dough is made in house and they get fresh bread from a local bakery and everything is best enjoyed hot! I come here pretty often and see it gets pretty busy after 5pm. They have lots of regulars that come by and I even ran into an old coach and a few cousins here and I always recommend people to try the pizza and pasta here. The staff is very friendly and everyone gives off a great vibe.

Deli News has been around for as long as I could remember. I have fond memories of coming here with my family when I was a kid. I’m pretty sure it was my uncles favorite restaurant because coming here was almost always his idea.
Nowadays I come here for a nostalgic slice of pizza and the food is as good as ever.

I don’t know what happened.This was a place I was always known to go for great food.But last night was ridiculous.
They drowned my wife’s ravioli in nothing but sauce.And my lasagna was supposed to be meat.Lasagna, and it was just layers and layers of noodles with sauce drowned over it as well.
Hurt my feelings I was ready to eat, hopefully.When we go back to talk to someone, they’ll reimburse us or give us a better meal.

The pizza was very delicious! I ordered a Meat Lovers pizza, which comes with ham, bacon, pepperoni, and sausage. I would have liked the pizza to be crunchy but that is just my taste. On the other hand, the wings were good but the potato wedges were overly seasoned… they could diminish the seasoning hopefully next time. If not, I don’t think they will deny modifications !

Deli news is great for delicious food and fair prices. Their lunch specials are a must! They all come with drinks and it’s a legit amount of food! Take a look for yourself. ($10 for those and a regular size drink). Hard to find these days. The atmosphere is comfortable and the staff is friendly and good at what they do. It satisfies my pizza cravings every time.
