DELI FIRST OPENED IN GREAT FALLS, VIRGINIA, IN 1990. YASSER BASLIOS WAS HIRED AS A DISHWASHER BEFORE WORKING HIS WAY TO OWNERSHIP. FOR An EGYPTIAN IMMIGRANT WITH VERY LITTLE MONEY AND (IN HIS WORDS) “ZERO ENGLISH”, CHASING THE AMERICAN DREAM HAS BEEN EXCITING BUT ALSO INCREDIBLY HUMBLING. OLD REGULARS WHO STILL VISIT US TODAY REMEMBER THE PLASTIC CHAIRS IN OUR TINY RESTAURANT, WHICH COULD SEAT JUST SIX GUESTS AT A TIME.

The lady at the register in the Lansdowne location is the BEST. I called trying to figure out how to use a coupon I had gotten in the mail and she was so helpful, took the time to figure it out. Took my number so she could call the owner to try to help me, called back right away. Offered solutions and was always very kind. She’s fantastic. Food is always great. Pizza fantastic! One of my favorite restaurants in the area.

Impulse visit, definitely going back!! Clean & welcoming place, great food, friendly & responsive staff. I’m avoiding dairy and options were limited so they made garlic knots without the cheese. On principle we avoid plastic whenever possible and they were cooperative. (Unfortunately, the only way to get their delicious marinara was in disposable cups … next time I’ll take my own container.) The robot food server was funny& unexpected. Nice history on the wall. Giant screen playing infomercials was a turn-off but the lowered the volume on request. Will happily eat there again … and if they can sell us desserts NOT in those stupid clamshells then that’ll make a good thing even better!!!

Deli Italiano did fantastic!! It was unanimous, everybody loved the pizza, onion rings and salad meal. Generous and delicious perfectly made toppings and cooked to perfection. The siracha sauce they made us for the panko covered onion rings (best coating ever!) had perfect heat and was delightful. There ranch dressing is the best and our favorite. Always love ordering from them and confident that it will be amazing every time. Thank you!!!

I made a very last minute request for a sub platter on line. My order was fulfilled on time and pickup was painless. The subs were well portioned and flavorful. Everyone at the gathering complimented the quality of the subs. Incredible food with kind service. Exactly how a deli should be. Stop in and eat. The kids will enjoy the robot server. Highly recommend!

The cashier was super rude and unprofessional. They have only one tong that they use for all pizzas. When I requested to use a separate or clean tongs for my cheese pizza, she got super rude and mad at me saying I only have one tong I use for everything, you should have told me in the start. Angrily changing boxes of the slices. She then grabbed a tissue wiped off the tongs and grabbed my pizza and handed me the box, more like threw it to me. Never going there again.

We have found our pizza place for the area! The sauce is tasty and not sweet. Lots of oregano! The cheese is good quality and not really greasy. The crust is delightful. We also ordered a garden salad with blue cheese dressing. The salad was crisp, cool, and good. Our family of five loves this place!

I got a Italian sub but it had some type of ciabatta bread. Flavors were very delicious. The bread thru me off with visuals but its taste was very good. Food was alot also. Paid about $16 for it. Went there around 6:10pm on a Monday.
