DELI ITALIANO initially opened its doors in Great Falls, Virginia, in 1990. Yasser Baslios was hired as a dishwasher and worked his way up to ownership. For an Egyptian immigrant with very little money and (in his words) “zero English”, chasing the American dream has been exciting but also incredibly humbling. Old regulars who still visit us today remember the plastic chairs in our tiny restaurant, which could seat just six guests at a time.

This place is the BEST!!! The food is delicious and the atmosphere is perfect. But what really sets it apart is Yasser, the owner. He is so kind and goes out of his way to get to know his customers and make sure everything is perfect for you. I feel like he has become a member of the family. We told my son he could go ANYWHERE for his birthday – fancy restaurant etc. But he immediately replied that the best place is Deli Italiano so that where he wanted to go.

Our family loved this place! We are visiting Great Falls today and glad we found this place! A ROBOT delivered our food! :0 The pizza was delicious and the staff were so kind and friendly. The owner gave our little toddler a sucker! We would come again if in the area again.

Ordered a kids spaghetti and meat balls and zero meat balls came on it for 8 dollars I would expect some meat balls. I later found out you have to add the meatballs for 3.99 I wish they were more detailed about that so I wouldn’t have wasted my time. There is also almost no sauce on it….. I could have made this at home and saved my money.

Excellent place! Me and my family are from Woodbrige Va, we were on our way to National Greatfalls Park and decided to stop by and get lunch. Best choice ever, the staff are so welcoming, making it the best experience for the first time going. After the delicious food they convinced us to get sum deserts, so yummy. Definitely a 10/10.

Wow! Talk about delicious pizza. I’m not a big pizza guy, mostly because after a few slices of the “name brands” I usually get GI issues. But the dough, toppings, and ingredients used by Deli Italiano were definitely fresh and high quality, and I loved every slice… So much so that I personally ate half a large pizza myself.

Nice little Italian food spot in Great Falls. We did takeout but I was surprised that there was not a lot of people. The food is pretty yummy! Recommend the steak and cheese sandwiches for sure!

Was in Great Falls for a meeting and had some time to kill and wanted to watch some Olympic hockey and was lucky to find Deli Italiano! TV already on the Olympics and the best pizza I have experienced in Northern Virginia! I don’t live close; but I will be back!

The soda machine had extra syrup, which is a refreshing change from establishments that skimp on the flavoring.
The employees were kind, respectful, and happy to assist.
