Service wasn’t the best. The guy upon entering didn’t want to help us navigate through their digital system. He just stood there watching us struggle. We had to request help before he intervened. The food was good. I ordered garlic naan and veggie and ground chicken samosas. My sister ordered chicken tiki masala with rice. The spices were on point. The atmosphere was mom and pops. We had no complaints other than the first interaction. I would’ve have them a 3.5 stars if it was possible.

I never write reviews but this experience compelled me.

The guy is not good at customer service. He kept asking me if I knew what pani puri is when I literally ordered it and told him I’ve had it several times before and love it. When I came back he continued to ask me if I knew what pani puri is and I said again that I’ve had it before. He then continues to show me how to eat it. He also said that my partner and I were taking too long to order and said that we should “plan our dinner accordingly“ when we did not even come close to closing time. He also kept asking us if we knew what Indian food was.

On to the actual food review:
The pani puri was extremely stale, the toppings tasted sour, almost going bad. I tried to give my dog a chickpea from it and he wouldn’t eat it (see picture below), and he eats bloody tissues off the street. The padina puri was lackluster. The number of times he asked me this question makes me think he was trying to dissuade me from
ordering it. Perhaps someone who has never had pani puri before thinks this is acceptable quality, however I did not. If you’re searching for good pani puri, try Vik’s Chaat instead.

The lamb curry was just okay (2.5 stars at the most). The fish curry just wasn’t good, it had spice but lacked actual flavor. (2 stars)

The food was also overpriced for the service and the quality of food. We will not be coming here again.

There were rocks in my biryani. Luckily I’ve eaten enough biryani in my life that I was able to not break my teeth and get them out of my mouth easily. But there were literal stones in my biryani. These people do not wash their rice before using it. I found the bigger stone while rinsing my mouth.

Not really that impressed. They’re definitely NOT the same as their namesake on Solano avenue, overpriced. In my opinion, I paid $33 for a combo plate and a drink, and the quality just isn’t there. They should make some changes, because they would probably sell a lot more food.

I wish I can give -ve review or zero star for this God awful place. We came from out of station and we’re super hungry. They brought chicken lollipop with no salt/seasoning. Then the roghan Josh and chicken Tikka came in with no salt at all. Now we ate lollipop cause we were super hungry with no complaints at all. But curry was impossible to eat with no salt. We told the old Indian lady waiter/manager the same. But she blatantly refused and said this is how things are made for American people. I have been here since almost a decade never got such bad service and rude response at all. As if we have never ate restaurant/ Indian restaurant food.i. Writing this review literally when I am at the restaurant. I am so furious that I can’t wait to write this.
My friends baby was hungry and cranky and the old lady literally shush him. Rude service and don’t how to talk to customer
Please don’t waste your time and money. Not paying single penny as a tip here!!!

Very sour expired chutney, gobhi manchurian was covered in what was unmistakably ketchup, and everything was completely over priced. Do not waste your money here! You will be disappointed. I love South Indian food and have had it many times, many other places so please trust my credible review and don’t go here.

The food here was amazing. The Chicken Tikka Masala was super flavorful and the rice was very fluffy. The staff was super friendly too.

Stranded, looking for food on Christmas Eve, Delhi Diner Berkeley took us in and fed us right before they closed. Solid Indian street food, my chicken tikka masala slow-burned with a tasty heat. Yummy naan too.
