Ms. Tarolyn constructed a stunning 3-tier, two flavor masterpiece for my wedding on July 25, 2025. I’m a St. Louis, Mo native who had a destination wedding in Pensacola Beach, Florida. Ms. Tarolyn was so kind and courteous and had my dreams a reality from hundreds of miles away. She worked with my Maid of Honor ahead of me and got every single detail down to a tee perfected. My cake was absolutely stunning AND delicious. We got SO many compliments on our cake for its beauty and outstanding taste. I bought an amazing cake from Tarolyn for my wife’s birthday. The cake was completely custom, decorated beautifully, and extremely moist. She was also very understanding and adjusted the delivery/pickup time based on my schedule (I am active duty military stationed at Eglin AFB, almost an hour from her location). Definitely will return for another family member’s birthday.

We ordered 3 cakes for a joint birthday party. The cakes were beautifully decorated but more than that they were delicious! For two days after the party people kept coming to the house just to get more cake. The strawberry shortcake with strawberry filling was so delicious, the lemon cake was amazing, and, the raspberry filling was worth going back for seconds. We had people who don’t really like cake eat multiple slices. The best part was getting to know Tarolyn herself. She is a wonderful baker but an even more amazing person.

Though Tarolyn provides friendly customer service, she is a bit too talkative. She can cut down on the length of her meetings if she came prepared with her portfolio in tact and if she stayed on the task at hand as opposed to getting side tracked to discuss the details of her family as well as other things.
As for the quality of her work, the aesthetics were rather disappointing for myself and my guests as well. They’ve come to expect better from me and after trying Delectable Delights, no one was impressed. My cake didn’t look anything like the image on Pinterest that I showed her. Also, she said that she was going to make the bee decorations. Instead, she purchased them from Amazon and used them. I requested a cake that was 100 percent edible. Instead, she used an artificial flower topper. To add, she never apologized for one of the decorations being a complete failure, it looked like a poop emoji instead of a bee hive. I was told that the cake was of similar taste as a sheet cake from Wal-Mart. We ended up tossing most of the treats as they were dry and had absolutely no flavor. Also, the price charged was equivalent to what I’ve paid in the past for that of high quality/time consuming work from an actual bakery, not from someone’s mobile home. Tarolyn wasn’t on time for my order and I feel as though she’d taken advantage of the fact that I was on a tight time schedule and needed to travel out of town with my order so I couldn’t ask that she go back to fix her mistakes. She never offered to correct it either. At the very least, Tarolyn could’ve offered to refund my order partially or in totality but she never did even after addressing some of these concerns with her.
For these reasons, I will never patronize or recommend Delectable Delights by Tarolyn ever again.
