I really enjoyed this spot and it would have been 5 stars for me except for 2 things. Professional Bartenders sometimes have trouble staying friendly when things get busy. This is common and understandable but not acceptable and is perhaps the single quality which separates good bartenders from very good bartenders.
The second is the margaritas are poured very light. A little more tequila and theyd have been very good.
Otherwise, the place has it all- good ambience, rustic interior with beautiful carvings, and good food a step above usual pub fare. I just recommend going on a weekday early if you want service without the grudge.

Grant the bartender was amazing he was attentive and very friendly. The atmosphere was chill, relaxed and fun. The husband and I had had The Gold Rush, The Bow and Arrow, and the Jungle Bird. I had the Johnny Utah, and the Zombie. Very unique crafty cocktails. As for the food we had the crab cake sandwhich flaky flavorful and delicious, my husband had the Smashburger and was in tasteful heaven. The prices were affordable compared to other facilities we’ve been to. We will absolutely be recommending this facility to friends and family and will hands down be attending again. It’s located in a beautiful hotel, with the choice to hang out in the beautiful garden or inside next to the huge welcoming fireplace. I cannot state enough the staff was so friendly and inviting it will definitely be one of our newest go-to’s for cocktails.

The actual room and the bar were very cool as far as it feeling like a Bar from the turn of the century, but when my food finally came out, it was cold. The wings were only four and way overpriced. They weren’t that good, the dry ranch dusted all over the wings looked incredibly unappealing. The smash burgers are worth five dollars not 15, if. you get two granted you get Fries with it II wouldn’t pay more than 10. The place was very busy and the server started off OK but then by the end the server forgot about us, and when she brought out our food, it was cold. I guess our original server had to go on break and then another server came over to ask us if we needed any help and I asked for the check and they literally threw the check on the table granted she was busy, but it was a bit uncouth.

The cocktails? Pure artistry. The vibe at Deland Hotel is like a warm hug – seriously. Cozy, cute, and quaint, just how I like it. If you’re not there yet, you’re missing out on the local magic! Beautifully crafted cocktails & culinary creations. Go taste the town!

Great place for a smaller group. Not much parking or seating, and a bit pricey, but a nice classy bar with seasonal drink specials. Usually not too crowded though and outside seating is possible.

Had the Smash burger and the Elinore Rigsby for food and the Old fashioned and a Johnny Utah for drinks, I have to say what a great experience, loved every minute of this!!!! Must do and will do again!!!

Me and my family ate here on Easter. We all had drinks which were fantastic. We also had food which was also fantastic. Would highly recommend. Probably one of the best spots in Deland. It is casual, but the building is so beautiful. You could actually have a a celebratory dinner like a graduation or rehearsal dinner.

I showed up here with a party of girlfriends towards the end of the night. The bartender was phenomenal and treated us tremendously. This was my first time here, but some of my friends had been here previously. Great cocktails and GREAT atmosphere.

Loved it!!!! First time there. It was a Sunday so food was served in the bar, lucky us. It had so much old world atmosphere. We started with something off their specialty cocktails menu (yum) My husband had the filet/mashed I had the crab cakes. The best meal we have had since we arrived three months ago! Definitely will be going back. There wasn’t one thing on the menu that I wouldn’t order.
