It’s my new to go place for authentic Mexican food, tamales de purco bomb, menudo reminds me of my moms.

Update: All tho food was good and set at a good price. I got double dip on the tip I left. Food was 26.58 and I left a 10 dollar tip total of 36.58. Then my card was ran again that afternoon for a charge of 10 dollars…. I know it’s ten dollars but sheesh I would keep this in mind, sucks because the food was good.

My wife and I stopped here for lunch on our way from the airport to Tucson. She ordered the tamales and I got the cheese enchiladas, and we shared an order of chips and salsa. The enchiladas were so-so, just not that flavorful. The chips were good, and the salsa was very flavorful, but spicier than we initially thought. Our noses got to running fairly quickly! But her tamales were delicious! They were great, and we initially talked about going back there on our last night before flying out, just to get the tamales.
The restaurant was acceptably clean, and the staff was very polite and helpful.

This is a great place! The staff is friendly and the food is delicious. They were very helpful going though the menu and helping me decide my meal for the day. They even have a fun Mini Claw Machine that my kids and I love to play while we are there. I highly recommend the place for authentic Mexican food.

Authentic, fair, and delicious! Located in the shopping center/strip, this is your next go to for that homestyle, amazing, and so good for you Mexican food.

I ordered the barbocoa plate and everything about it was so good. The meat was so tender and flavorful. The rice & beans were honestly some of the best I’ve ever had and their homemade salsas were so fresh. Highly recommend this plate!

Brandon, the young guy, who took my order and helped me out with catering was so nice and friendly. I don’t speak a whole lot of Spanish and he helped me get in contact with his grandpa to place a catering order for my birthday.

This is on my top 10 places to eat at, it is that good.

We tried this place one night for an early dinner. It was located in Guadalupe Mercado outdoor plaza. We entered and you walk up to the counter to order your food. I ordered the Chile Verde which was fantastic. My partner order the Carne Asada Burrito which was delicious. After you order you wait and they brought the food out to our table. The food is prepared when your order and is hot and fresh. The Tortillas were just fantastic. We also ordered some Guacamole which was very tasty. Be warned they speak very little English. They are very helpful and friendly. The restaurant was clean. The restrooms are shared out in the plaza area so you will have to ask for the key. We will return again soon.

A diamond in the rough and a favorite! Everyone is nice and polite. This is a true find if you are in Guadalupe or just looking for a Mexican restaurant in a traditional traditional marketplace. Parking is next to the Boys and Girls Club.
Try the chile relleno: deep fried poblano pepper with cheese inside and the sauce they comes with it – heavenly! Coke in the bottle – the only way. The red hot sauce is amazing too, as is the culture this place preserves, perfectly. The bean and cheese burrito is still good all these years later, but a quesadilla here is always good too. Enjoy! Nice to practice Spanish here and think you traveled somewhere exotic. Gringos are welcome here. It’s just Del Yaqui at it’s finest. p.s. I always ask for a side of cilantro, lime and pickled carrots.

Del Yaqui is a perfect family restaurant set in the city of Guadalupe inside the Yaqui community. Great food, genuinely kind people, in a nice, clean, sit-down family setting. All this at a reasonable price. And, they are open later than most other Mexican restaurants on Sunday evening.

Recently, a friend told me of his experience at Del Yaqui, so I went on his recommendation. I was not disappointed. I ordered the chile verde plate, which came with rice and beans and two tortillas. The pork was perfectly tender, the green sauce was delicious, and the dinner was served hot. My friend ordered a meal with two tacos and the rice and beans as well. Finally, we also split a full bowl of the Caldo de Pollo (chicken soup), which came with its own tortillas as well. The soup was phenomenal. I absolutely love good soup, and this was a joy to eat. All the food came in good portions as well.

The staff was very kind and explained the entrées, as well as making sure to accurately take our orders. Even though this is a counter-order restaurant, they still served the food to the table and graciously helped us when we had requests. The prices likewise were reasonable. Most meals were right at $11 each.

If you are near the town of Guadalupe, do yourself a favor and try this little gem, Del Yaqui! You won’t be disappointed!
