I can’t comment on the atmosphere since I went through the drive-thru, but I can speak on the service and food. As a former Food and Beverage Assistant Manager, I know how much customer service plays a role in whether a guest’s experience feels positive or negative. Sometimes the smallest details make a difference—like an order being slightly off, a burrito breaking during the drive home, or even the restroom being low on supplies, which can happen quickly when staff are stretched thin.
From reading many of the negative reviews, it seems some of the frustration comes from moments when customer service didn’t quite meet expectations. However, during my visit, I was impressed. The morning shift employee who helped me was very patient and friendly, which really stood out. The food was tasty, and as the person who ordered a shake at 5 a.m., I was pleasantly surprised to find the ice cream machine working.

This location is awful. Their food always tastes like it’s been sitting out all day and they always mess up my order. I’ve been eating here since I was a kid and it’s gotten so bad over the years it’s unreal. Every other spot I’ve been to is fine but this one really sucks.

Every time I come here it’s always a disappointment. I understand when it’s busy things might not always be perfect. And for some reason my family loves coming here only because it’s the closest del taco. But there’s been so many times where I come here and it’s completely empty both inside and outside, yet when I get my food it’s cold. And not room temperature but actual “it’s been in a refrigerator” cold.
Some staff are nice here but the others you can tell don’t care about their job (usually rude and on their phone 24/7). It’s del taco so I’m not expecting 5 star food but it’s like god, would it kill you to at least warm the chicken on the grill for a few seconds before handing me my overpriced, dollar store meat chicken tacos?

Barbara is the store manager and she is the sweetest lady. She’s always cheery and has a pleasant attitude. I visited in the evening and ordered the Del Taco’s and they truly DO PACK the tacos and dining room is always clean.

how is there no cashier just the tablet no one’s really helpful and they messed up the order and had to remind her of the food and drinks and shake I put a plain chewse burger (just cheese no lettuce no onion no tomato) they gave onion tomato and lettuce… no cheese like bruh. then put a regular burger just no onion… gave onion and and no tomato cheese or lettuce ??? and when I went to grab my food, my friend was like let’s check to see if we have everything, and then they suddenly remember oh shoot don’t forget this bag, a bag I was never handed and then I had to remind her of my drink and shake and she doubled checked on the screen like I was lying but she was nice. my food was good but they messed up my family’s. idk how u mess up so bad

It is a typical Del Taco establishment, conveniently located near Jocko’s Pub and Stater Bros. I have been here many times, while living in High Desert, or visiting my relatives in the area. I would usually order food to go, or sometimes dine-in. The meals, usually, were well made. At the same time, the wait lines were non-existing, since the staff was quick and prompt. The prices, too, were quite fair. So, if anyone is in High Desert area, I would recommend a visit to this particular Del Taco establishment on Bear Valley Road. My last time, visiting this establishment, was in October of 2023, while visiting my relatives.

The food was okay. I really love the cheese quesadilla and it was completely melted but not hot. It’s best when it’s hot and stringy. Otherwise it was good but all Del Taco food has changed since back in the day…sad. I live overseas and hit this place up first but that clearly has changed.

Very disappointed with the service today. Obviously a newer guy at the cashier station. If his name was on my receipt I’d share.
Very short, crass, no customer service type of attitude. If I choose another del taco, I’d drive further away to share my money with.
