We’ve been coming to this del taco for years, and we’ve never really had any issue. Foods always been del taco quality. My issue today was portion size. I ordered two del tacos, which normally are over flowing with meat, lettuce and cheese. These were itty bitty. I know things are more expensive, I do not mind paying a little more for the same quantity, or getting a bit less quantity for the same price, but I do not appreciate getting less food for more money. Price increase was only $0.29/each, but that’s too much an increase considering how much less food there was.

I never write reviews but had to write this one.
Asked while ordering if food could be made fresh. Server states “what do you mean” I said “ I come here at last once a week at night and the food is always cold recently” server states “well the steak is still good”….
I have no response to this as this is the such a dissapointing response to hear Samantha really didn’t care or even acknowledge expected hot burrito is cold.
They do well during the day, but it’s never good food at night.

I will never go here again. I gave them 2 chances. Third try and they struck out. Beyond Avocado (Vegetarian) tacos was a mess. Chips was stale and the salsa did not have a top, they had to cover it with some old looking foil. I didn’t eat it. They had no strawberries to go with the strawberry lemonade I ordered. The cashier apologized and said they would “upgrade” it to a large drink free of charge. So I asked for a regular lemonade which tasted watered down. It was all waste of my $10. I had somewhere to be so I didn’t go back to return the mess they gave me. Good luck ordering food from here.

With my daughter (after just telling her in the car that Del Taco is pretty good as she’s never really had it), walked in with a coupon for Buy One/Get One bean & cheese burrito that was given to me from my recent purchase. It was the first thing I gave the cashier. Proceeded to order a bunch other food (nachos, tacos, fries, etc). Came to finalizing the transaction, I was told the coupon was expired. I told the cashier I just got it and this is what got me to come and make a purchase with a bunch of other things. What got me frustrated was the lady, maybe manager, and her pissy attitude of telling me “it’s expired!” This .25 cents worth of a bean/cheese burrito to my over $20 order. Immediately walked out due to the corporate greed. Instead of this lady making it a better experience for a customer, it turned into no longer will I be going to Del Taco which used to be one of my favorite “go to.” In general food today has gotten more expensive and less are eating out so restaurants should train staffing to create better experiences for customers instead of further driving them out of their restaurant. Went to In N Out instead and spent my money there where I was greeted with a big smile. Thanks (NO THANKS to the lady) Del Taco.
BTW, the last time I purchased when I was given the coupon, the taco shells were STALE. I thought I would try this visit again because in general, it’s been good. This time the Staleness came from staff.

So I ordered my food online and then walk into the dining room at 21:56 and the greeting I had from the male and female employees was “we are closed”. Just bad karma all around this place. I hope my karma doesn’t run over their dogma!

Went around 8pm on a weekday to the drivethru. We were greeted quickly and ordered some burritos and tacos. The only delay we experienced was short (2 minutes), as production were making a new batch of fries when we ordered.
Nothing was wrong with the order.
I even typically assume that their specialty burritos will sometimes be made “sideways,” as in ingredients being spaced unequally throughout, but did not encounter that this time. Zero complaints, even with a last-second alteration to part of the order.
It is possible that this was simply “right place right time,” as having experience in food service has made me aware of how often skeleton crews are employed to handle customer volume that would typically warrant staffing twice or three times the size of allocated labor budget (why would pay more employees when we could simply overwork key staff until they quit in contempt). But I specifically wanted to try this location, as establishments that have gained low ratings pull at my curiosity sometimes.
It’s a del taco. It’s fine.

I used to love Del Taco, never had a problem with their food in any location. But, today, I was so disappointed. It’s like they didn’t even try. My oldest niece was complaining incessantly about her cheeseburger as she opened it up only to see half of a meat patty and some barely there cheese. So she opted for cup of noodles from home. My shrimp tacos were so soggy, I had to eat it without the tortilla. The fries were soggy as well, we air fried it, but it was just bland so we threw the rest out. I’ve never felt so disappointed with fast food. I am not picky with fast food because it’s just fast food. But, this location, no wonder no one was in there. I will not be returning to this Walnut location.

Had no problem and enjoyed the fast efficient service for a year. But as of lately, service per customer in the drive-thru takes up around 8~10 — making us wait in the lot.
It seems to be understaffed, but workers don’t seem urgent to prepare food correctly – missing condiments upon requests.
Unnacceptable. Something needs to change because I always stop by here to grub on the way home from work.
