When I mentioned that Google showed it available since Wednesday, he turned to his female coworker and they started talking in Spanish, assuming I didn’t understand lol. He said, “They want the cheap meal,” and she replied, “We have the recipe, we can make it,” and he responded, “I don’t know.”
At that point, I told them I didn’t want it anymore. The whole interaction was unprofessional and disrespectful. I AM A CUSTOMER. To talked about me that “they want the cheap meal” ? and won’t make it for me when it was clearly available. To tell me to go to McDonalds? Dude come on, where is the service mind here.
I’ve never experienced this elsewhere, it was truly unacceptable. I left extremely disappointed. The manager should provide better training to that man.
First off, they got my order wrong. Not a huge deal, decided to eat it anyway. When I unwrapped my burrito it was the SMALLEST burrito I’ve ever gotten from Del Taco and it was very sloppily wrapped. I was disappointed to say the least but, again, figured I might as well eat it.
For whatever reason, the rice in it was as hard as rocks. It felt like chewing pebbles. Some were sharp, too. I was baffled, but thought I could open the burrito up and remove the rice. Except the rice was mixed in to everything, making the whole burrito inedible.
To their credit, the other items I ordered were fine (most definitely because they didn’t include rice) but overall it was a very disappointing experience. I will not be returning to this Del Taco.
If you’re in the area and want some Del Taco, I’d recommend going to any of the others. I’ve been to both the Pasadena locations and they were fine. This particular one is a dud, sadly.
Update: Try their double bacon cheeseburger. Very disappointed. Instead of slices of bacon, they used bacon bits. Bits that kept fall out of the burger.
