I ordered in advance (pre-paid) and pulled into the drive-thru at approximately the time it said the order would be ready, and from what I saw it seemed there was only one person dining in, and maybe 2 other cars in the drive-thru so it didn’t seem too busy. The order took ~10 minutes longer than the estimated time which was fine because I wasn’t in a rush, but I wish they would have spent some of that time double-checking the items before bagging them. It’s partially my fault for not checking as well, but I just assumed they would have so I didn’t need to. The food itself was good though, and the employee working at the drive-thru was polite.
Pulled up hungry, ready to eat—left with nothing but confusion.
Cashier completely crashed out, ringing up random nonsense like their brain blue-screened mid-shift.
Whole order was a mess, made zero sense. Didn’t even get to eat.
Do better.
They forgot to give me my quesadillas in the drive thru and the workers ran outside and flagged me down in the parking the lot before I left. This was amazing service! Anyone else would have just waited on me to notice the missing food and come back myself.
A good measure of how good a particular Del Taco is, is how good their Taco Tuesday and Thursday are.
If you feel like they downsized their tacos, than chances are your other experiences with them might come up short as well. The problem with this is, it’s entirely dependent on who is making the tacos at the time!
Case in point. Had I written this when I ordered three tacos for Taco Tuesday, just before their peak, I would have written about exceptional value. However I’m writing this now, just at the tail end of their peek and while their tacos still are better than the next nearest one, it can’t complete with my earlier experience just two hours ago today!
However the place has a very nice layout. Including roomy taco sauce dispensers. The lighting is good, making it cozy at night, a difference than how it feels during the day, where that same layout feels cold.
The bathrooms, while having to go outside and use a token to open them, are far cleaner than the nearest one, that has them indoor. All in all, a well kept place, again depending on who is working there, as part of the reason I hadn’t been here in awhile was, it didn’t feel clean. So this is a big welcomed change and makes for much better dining experience.
