My fast food dine-in habit has once again taken me to the Del Taco on Broadway for a quick and potentially nutritious meal.
Unfortunately, although I would love to give the full five stars, this establishment falls short of perfection. The tables are chronically dirty, and the food is probably the worst Mexican fare in Tucson. I will say the beans are better than Taco Bell, but everything else is marginally worse and all kind of tastes the same.
Great aesthetics at sunset, though. They recently updated this location with an all-green look that feels very warm and inviting during the late afternoon. But once the sun goes down, the fluorescent lights (which flicker due to the ceiling fans) can be quite garish.

This place was so convenient to me since I got off the Greyhound and was waiting for my daughter to pick me up. I travelled from Los Angeles to visit and it’s too early for negativity. This place was convenient but now even if I’m hungry next time when I visit my daughter I will NOT visit your establishment because I don’t need Nayeli to rub off on my food when she has an attitude. I bought two green chile bean and cheese burritos and 3 hard tacos. Nayelli was very serious taking my order and then when I asked for more sauce she grunted, shook her head and looked down handed them to me with an attitude. I said thank you while she just walked away. I eat a lot of sauce with my tacos. She was disrespectful. 7:11am on 6/11/25
5:20pm Wednesday September 17,2025..Today was different..Daleyla is so sweet and is great with customer service but Mari the Manager was rude. I asked if I can taste the strawberry lemonade since it wasn’t too popular, to see if I’ll buy it. The manager said, “no imagine if we let everyone taste it?” In Spanish to the cashier and I responded to the Manager in Spanish as well. But it’s fine. I still enjoyed what I purchased …a taco and the yummy strawberry lemonade.

I dont know what it is about Del Taco but I love it.
It’s definitely better quality than Taco Bell with better and fresher ingredients.
For some reason it just hits the spot ever once in a while for me.
If you haven’t tried it, give it a shot and see if it does for you.

It was at end if day they were about to close. Ordered 2 cheesy bean and cheese burritos. Very unsatisfying. Beans tasted like they were re hydrated a dozen times grrrrrrose. I will give this location a second chance though.

I placed an online order an hour ago and came to pick it up and asked if they could remake it and they said “it’s not our fault you came an hour late”, (which included ice cream), which in all honesty I think they can but are too lazy to. She then tried to give me the cold food but I said I wanted a refund and the app said I “checked in” but the 2 women working there told me to take it up with the app but they marked my order as completed. So I’m sitting here no food, no refund. Worst fast food experience ever. I’m going hungry tonight. 8:30pm 10/26/2025 The entire crew stared at my car outside the store windows in the parking lot and eyed me down as I left. Ludicrous treatment.

Del Taco Slaps. A better taco bell, all the way. Actually cheap menu. Everything was hot and fresh. I watched them double check my bag to make sure my order was right. Will absolutely be going back again. Loved the beans.

The best comparison would be Taco Bell.
For the meal, I ordered 2 Stuffed Quesadilla Tacos with Carne Asada (Steak). This meal came with a drink and a side of fries.
In terms of speed, they were very quick. We got our food in about 3-4 minutes.
For the main entree, the meat and tortillas for the tacos seemed to be slightly better quality than something like Taco Bell but we overall not as interesting in terms of flavor.
They offer french fries as a side item and mine were a bit soggy and under salted for my liking.
Overall, the food tacos were fine but the sides were not great. Nothing really stood out to me as great or terrible. Beyond the food, the building was clean but a bit dated and could use a renovation.
There are better taco places in Tucson.

That lady has been working there for years and she always screws up the order and blames it on the customer. Doesn’t repeat the order and is basically incompetent. Normally if I see her working I just walk back out and go somewhere else
