The food was made hot and fresh and the restaurant was clean. Nice job Del Taco New Year’s Eve Team… keep up the great work!!!
I was genuinely excited to visit the Del Taco on Arapahoe in Centennial around 8:20 PM on Thursday, November 20. This location had been closed for a while, and I couldn’t wait for it to reopen. Unfortunately, the entire experience was awful.
My order was completely wrong from the start. I ordered two crunchy tacos and was handed a burrito instead. I went inside to have it corrected, and although the two girls working were clearly overwhelmed (only two employees in the whole restaurant), the service was curt and rushed. Instead of remaking my order, the employee handed me two pre-wrapped items and told me I could keep the burrito. I appreciated the gesture, until I got home and realized they still weren’t crunchy tacos. They had given me two rolled chicken tacos, which had a really off-putting smell, so I didn’t eat them.
I figured I’d try the burrito they originally gave me, but it tasted like someone shredded a rotisserie chicken and tossed in all the skin. Completely inedible. In the end, all I could eat from my $13 meal was a mini quesadilla, fries, and a Diet Coke.
I reached out hoping for a simple refund for the items I couldn’t eat, and instead I was offered a $5 coupon, which doesn’t even cover a meal, and honestly, I have no desire to return after this experience. All I wanted was my money back for food I didn’t receive or couldn’t eat, and apparently that was too much.
This location clearly wasn’t ready to reopen, and offering a $5 coupon for a $13 mistake is not customer service.
Today I asked for mild sauce twice at the speaker, then got asked “Hot sauce?” at the window, I replied “yes?” (cause I’m confused when I JUST said mild a few seconds ago)… and then they just gave me inferno hot sauce. I’ll be going to the gas station nextdoor for my last-resort lunch option instead of being consistently disappointed.
This is hands down the worst Del Taco I’ve ever been to. I went through the drive-through and ordered our meals, including three Strawberry Sprites. All three drinks tasted absolutely horrible — extremely over-carbonated and undrinkable.
When I was waiting at the drive-through and politely asked if they could be changed, the employee refused, said they “didn’t know,” and basically dismissed me. No help, no solution, no apology.
On top of that, I didn’t receive any sauce with my order. Between the bad drinks, refusal to fix a simple issue, and lack of basic customer service, this place is a joke.
Worst service ever. Avoid this Del Taco at all costs
While I understand that labor costs are high, you should make sure that the kiosk can accept special deals before you introduce them.
