Reviews
I sat at the bar, which is where I usually sit when I’m going to do a review, and the bar tender was very welcoming, she made some great recommendations, and I was glad she did.
I ordered the Chicken Tortilla Soup, which is the first thing I order when going to a Mexican restaurant if it’s on the menu, because it will tell me exactly where the rest of the meal is going to go, and it never fails.
The soup was delicious, full of flavour and the right amount of everything that makes a Chicken Tortilla Soup the perfect starter.
Next I ordered a Taco Trio, consisting of a Cheese Steak Taco, Mahi Taco, and a Shrimp Taco, and I was not disappointed.
Though I had reservations about the Cheese Steak Taco, it was still delicious, and exceeded my expectations.
The real star was the Mahi and Shrimp Tacos!
I can honestly say that the Mahi Taco was right up there with some of the best I have had, and I’ve had the best in the world on Maui, and that is no joke. The Mahi was moist and tender, and most of all fresh, like they caught it themselves fresh, and that was why you see that it was already half eaten in the pic.
The Shrimp taco was no different, delicious and fresh, but on another level, straight out of a taco lovers diary, and into the menu at Del Paz.
I would recommend Del Paz to my friends for a casual meal, or a celebration, either would be fitting.
Food:-
We had ordered both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food and all the food was really tasty
I had tried black bean burger and it came with crispy fries on side. I can’t describe how good it was (Special Compliments to Chef). The burger bun itself was really super soft including the black bean patty inside that.
Even the complimentary chips with salsa sauce were good.
Had also tired Strawberry… Non alcoholic beverage, it was sour, but I liked that.
Staff:-
The staff were really good and kind.
Maya was our server and she was really nice to us.
Price:-
Being a restaurant I’d say the prices are reasonable enough (If you’re a student then it’s another story and it’s not that cheap you come often, especially without offer. But I heard they’ve some offer on Tuesday, like Taco Tuesday or something, I’m not sure about it, do confirm before relying this)
Ambience:-
Ambience of this restaurant was really good (This is not for you if you like full lit)
It feels like a candle light dinner
Update:-
Also I took my friends to this place for their graduation celebration 2 days after I visited and they loved this as well. But second time we went it was really full of people.
P.S. :- I got to know that this restaurant was opened up recently like November 2024.
And the food? Incredible doesn’t even begin to cover it. Every plate was bursting with fresh flavors, vibrant colors, and the kind of authenticity you can taste in every bite. The spices were balanced to perfection, and each dish felt like a work of art—made with love and pride.
From start to finish, it was an experience that fed both the stomach and the soul. If you’re looking for the perfect mix of outstanding service and unforgettable Mexican cuisine, this place is it—and if you’re lucky, you’ll get Lenny as your waiter!
The food was actually made there and obviously fresh, you can tell by the Street Corn side dish.
The crab quesadilla was awesome, the pulpo taco was my personal favorite, and the street corn mentioned above was great, I couldn’t stop eating it, even after our full tables worth of food. The Ahi Tuna taco app was great if you like Ahi Tuna tacos, but the shell was hard, so it crumbled after the first bite, not a problem if you finish with your fork. Tell me how they have sushi…clearly worth writing home about as you can see, I’m writing home about it here. We even had a taste of the Corn Bread Dessert, compliments of the manager, OMG fantastic.
Service was immaculate, we had Danae and our drinks were always refilled before hitting raw ice and her food recommendations were spot on.
This place is gonna be hard to reserve when the apartments fill up.
Service was friendly & efficient, food & drinks were delicious. Steak fajitas & spinach/shrimp enchiladas w/a berry mojito (very sweet.) Server was attentive from start to finish!
