We had an overall wonderful experience here. The atmosphere was inviting, and the service was impeccable. Our server patiently introduced us most popular foods on the menu. The highlight of our meal was definitely the palapa shrimp appetizer (highly recommend), which was absolutely delicious.
Unfortunately, my experience ended on a slightly disappointing note. I had ordered a giant surf and turf burrito, which was so large that I couldn’t finish it. I carefully placed the untouched half in a to-go box but accidentally left it behind when I left the restaurant. I realized my mistake and returned about 10 minutes later, only to find out that the food had already been thrown away during the table’s cleanup.
While I fully understand that it was my responsibility to remember the food, it was still disheartening to lose such a large portion of a pricey meal. The staff was kind and apologetic, but unfortunately, there wasn’t anything they could do to remedy the situation.
Because of this, I’m giving 3 stars instead of 5. I wish the restaurant had held onto the food for a reasonable time length in case someone returned for it, as I did. It’s a small thing, but it would have made a big difference for me.
While I’m grateful for the great service and tasty food, I’m unsure if I’ll return after this incident.

I have only been once, but spouse twice. I enjoyed my meal and the service was great (Valentine’s Day for lunch). Ordered whole Tilapia and Shrimp appetizer. It wasn’t life changing, but it was good. Will probably try something else next time. I want to give 4.5 but will round up because 4 isn’t right. Liked it, but not blown away. 🙂 Thanks for the friendly service.

Recommendations: shrimp tacos, fish ceviche, and shrimp burrito. My table ordered items listed above and birria tacos, chicken nachos, and fried ice cream. Very disappointed with the fried ice cream and it isn’t even close to being worth $8. The chicken nachos were okay but chicken was a little dry. We had excellent service and overall enjoyed our meal.

An absolute hidden gem! It’s a shame we hadn’t tried it before. The Baja shrimp tacos were perfection. Exactly what you want in a shrimp taco and nearly impossible to find this style of shrimp taco in Utah. The birria tacos were the best we’ve had in the US. Everything was incredibly fresh and well-presented. The staff was extremely friendly and had great recommendations and the restaurant was not busy. It’s hard to find a place that provides such fresh, high-quality food. It’s the perfect sit-down style food without having to be waited on. We can’t wait for our next visit and to show our friends!

We expected a hole in the wall place with counter serve tacos and were pleasantly surprised by a nice sit down restaurant, tastefully decorated in a breezy yet calming beach theme with friendly wait staff. It is still a casual place, so no need to dress up.
I had the Baja fish tacos, and my husband the surf and turf burrito.
Everything was fresh, crisp, and flavorful.
The chairs deserve special mention as the most comfortable restaurant chairs.

The food was superb! The salsa was spiced wonderful and surprisingly another favorite by kids and spouse. The burrito had its own unique flavor that made me taste buds sing! The marlin meat tacos were beautifully laid out and were tasty as well! Definitely will come again for more refreshing food!

Restaurant was very clean and employees were very nice. We did an order for take out and they were very fast. We ordered the horchatas, birria, and the fish tacos.
Horchatas were fantastic. The birria was a new try for us and was pretty good. They offer an option of adding cheese to them which I feel adds to the flavor but is not required. Meat was very tender and flavorful. The fish tacos were my favorite. Light and tasty yet still very filling. Both the birria and the tacos came with three of them. The fish tacos also came with rice and beans. The sauces they gave us were the only let down of the meal. There was a cilantro green sauce that was very mild, a cilantro red sauce that had a kick. An oily red sauce with seasoning you had to stir. The flavor being very different and we didn’t eat much of it and the last sauce I assume is what the birria meat was cooked in, it had a little heat that would hit the back of your throat.
Overall a good place to try and maybe the sauces were just not what we are used to.

This place was amazing with service and food. The food is Baja style Mexican. We made reservations that morning and they were able to accommodate our party of 10. When we sat down they had already had 4 bowls of chips and salsa waiting for us when we sat down. Everyone was so impressed by the menu and we are a picky family. We ordered 3 appetizers including the fish and chips (this was more like a meal), shrimp cocktail and some marlin and shrimp stuffed peppers. That was probably enough to feed us all. They give huge portions for a reasonable price. Everything that came out was so delicious and fresh. My husband ordered the Birria soft tacos and I had the shrimp burrito. The tacos were all served on cute wooden chopping boards with a side of yellow rice. The rice was delicious, not sure what kind of rice it was. The staff was so attentive and the food came out so quickly for our large party that we had to wait on ordering entrees. For our large party we had expected to have gratuity automatically added but they didn’t add it. We will definitely come back here again when we come to visit UT again!

My elderly father commented he had never quite had a burrito like the one they made him (classic steak burrito) and he’s a life long Mexican food eater from southern California. He quite enjoyed it. My spouse grabbed some fish tacos and thought they were delicious! My surf and turf burrito was fine. Fountain drink didn’t suck either (minor pet peeve when a places machine works poorly, this one was in good shape and made a great drink).
We enjoyed the heat of the red salsa. It’s hard to find places that actually have some spice!
The music was a tad loud for my liking, but I get it… Busy place, it helps to drown out other people.
Bathrooms were ok, though I laughed out loud at how little paper towel came out with each pass of my hand. Guess it probably saves some trees!
