The chicken burrito was delicious and satisfying. The beans and rice were bland, but the salty chicken made up for it. Overall, I’d come back on trips down I-5 if the area isn’t too crowded.
They even grill it for that toasty tortilla flavor and offer three sauces: casero red, green, and a red taquero with diced onion and cilantro served on a molcajete. Not docking points off the place, but that’s not a true molcajete salsa its just served in one. The 3.8 rating is solely based on the taste of the burrito.
This place is a hit, and I recommend it as a burrito enthusiast.
And wow! I was blown away. As a huge fan of handmade corn tortilla quesadillas, I couldn’t resist. The order comes with two quesadillas filled with your choice of meat, accompanied by grilled onions, grilled serrano, sour cream, salsa, shredded lettuce, cucumber slices, radish, and tomato on the side. I was so hungry that I didn’t even pause to take a picture—I just dove in!
We also tried a super burrito de cabeza, which was absolutely delicious, along with two carnitas tacos and a couple of refreshing aguas de horchata. The total was around $53, but it was worth every penny! Honestly, we would have spent about the same at any fast-food chain nearby.
They accept cash, credit, and Zelle, making it convenient too. We will undoubtedly make this our stop on the way back home!
