The chicken burrito was delicious and satisfying. The beans and rice were bland, but the salty chicken made up for it. Overall, I’d come back on trips down I-5 if the area isn’t too crowded.
They even grill it for that toasty tortilla flavor and offer three sauces: casero red, green, and a red taquero with diced onion and cilantro served on a molcajete. Not docking points off the place, but that’s not a true molcajete salsa its just served in one. The 3.8 rating is solely based on the taste of the burrito.
This place is a hit, and I recommend it as a burrito enthusiast.

Outstanding customer service I love coming here with my wife when we are on the road I make this a stop lol the food is so delicious I go for the carne asada burrito and aguas Frescas.( On A side note the picture with the white sign is not from this place just an FYI) The lady’s working here remembered me and it’s been more then a month since I was back here awesome keep up the great job

I have to say that is not bad but is not delicious either! The meat has a refrigerated flavor even though it is warm. I got tacos and they were fine. Although my standards for Mexican food are extremely high because I’m from San Jose so I’m not saying they are horrible but they did not meet my standards. The al pastor meat was not fully grilled and the asada was just ok.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when we stumbled upon this place. Driving down from the central coast to Los Angeles, we were craving some Mexican food. After browsing several reviews for local spots near the truck stops, I wasn’t overly optimistic about finding a gem. However, Del Mar Mexican Cuisine stood out as the last option on my list with a majority of positive feedback, so we decided to give it a shot. Initially, I was taken aback by the lack of customers, while El Dollar Taqueria across the street had a line of three waiting. A bit concerning, I thought, but we pressed on and checked out the menu from our car.
And wow! I was blown away. As a huge fan of handmade corn tortilla quesadillas, I couldn’t resist. The order comes with two quesadillas filled with your choice of meat, accompanied by grilled onions, grilled serrano, sour cream, salsa, shredded lettuce, cucumber slices, radish, and tomato on the side. I was so hungry that I didn’t even pause to take a picture—I just dove in!
We also tried a super burrito de cabeza, which was absolutely delicious, along with two carnitas tacos and a couple of refreshing aguas de horchata. The total was around $53, but it was worth every penny! Honestly, we would have spent about the same at any fast-food chain nearby.
They accept cash, credit, and Zelle, making it convenient too. We will undoubtedly make this our stop on the way back home!
