The food was delicious and we just loved it. I couldn’t resist myself to sip tambda and pandhara rassa. Portion size is good and thali comes unlimited. My kid also enjoyed the food and we could meet the owner and get to know about the restaurant more. Definitely must try place for every Maharashtriyan and everyone

I have visited Dehaati twice now and have been consistently impressed with the food. The restaurant successfully brings the rustic flavors of Kolhapur and the comfort of Pune’s local culinary traditions to the area.

The standout for me is definitely the Pune chicken thali, which I’ve ordered on both visits. It is flavorful and truly hits the spot. I have also tried the Kolhapuri mutton thali and the Kolhapuri chicken thali on different occasions, both of which were enjoyable, but the Pune chicken thali remains my personal favorite.

A major highlight of the meal is the bhakri. Unlike many other restaurants that often mix wheat flour into theirs, the bhakri here feels authentic and exactly how it should be. The texture and taste reflect the village-style techniques the kitchen prides itself on.

If you are looking for genuine Maharashtrian hospitality and bold, traditional tastes, I highly recommend giving this place a try.

We tried both Puneri thali and mutton thali. Both were really good. Personally like the chicken sukka from Puneri thali very much – it has amazing masala with smokey flavour which transports you back to home! Mutton quality was good and tamda rassa was perfect! While ordering from DoorDash we also tried the chicken thecha which was okay – was expecting it to be spicy but wasn’t. But do highly recommend the chicken Puneri thali/mutton thali or just sukka chicken curry!

We have been passing by this place for a month now and were intrigued by the Thali style Maharashtrian menu. We finally visited on a Sunday for lunch. The Chicken thali was out of this world – Pandhra rassa was to die for. Solkadhi was very refreshing. The veg thali was very homely – standout items were the methi chi bhaji, kothimbir vadi and amrakhand. Unlimited bhakri and curries was the icing on the cake. The staff were attentive and offered refills multiple times. Overall, a very homely and nostalgic place for maharashtrian food. Will definitely visit again.

This place serves incredibly delicious and authentic Maharashtrian food. It is the best I have had in the Bay Area. We tried the puneri chicken thali and the kolhapuri chicken thali, and both were absolutely amazing. My favorites were the tamabada rassa, solkadhi, mutton curry, and alani. But everything else was equally tasty.

They also keep serving fresh, hot jowar and wheat roti.

I highly recommend trying this place.

Tried the Veg thali and honestly loved it. Everything tasted great, truly authentic, and home-style food. My husband tried Pune Chicken thali and he loved it too. Portions were generous and the service was warm and welcoming too.

If you’re craving real Maharashtrian food, this place is worth visiting.

Absolutely incredible experience! This thali is as authentic Maharashtrian as it gets. The mutton curry was perfectly spiced and tender, and the bakri were the ideal pairing. The standout for me was the Solkadhi and pandra rasa —it was so refreshing and balanced the heat beautifully. Finished with a warm, syrupy Gulab Jamun. 10/10, will definitely be back!

Dehaati seriously took me back to Kolhapur!!

A lot of places label dishes as “Kolhapuri” and just make them extra spicy, but honestly, in Kolhapur it’s more about flavor than just heat, and they’ve nailed that balance here.

Tambda Pandhra and mutton were very authentic proper traditional taste. Definitely try the Kharda Chicken if you like bold flavors. And the Chicken Pulao was super flavorful too.

If you’re looking for genuine Kolhapuri-style food rather than the overly spicy commercial version, this place is definitely worth a visit!

Being a Mumbaikar, I’ve always craved authentic Marathi food, and this place truly delivers the real taste of home. I usually don’t write reviews, but the food here genuinely touched my soul and absolutely deserves five stars. The flavors are authentic and comforting, just like home-cooked Maharashtrian food.

The service is excellent, the place is clean, and the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. They even accommodated my request to include shev bhaji and methi bhaji in the thali, even though those dishes are usually only available on weekends — which I really appreciated.

The owner is very warm and kind, and even gave a small token of appreciation at the end, which made the experience even more special.

Overall, the chef truly works magic in the kitchen. If you’re looking for authentic Marathi food in the Bay Area, this place is a must-visit. Simply put — the best Marathi food! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Tried Dehaati Restaurant in Sunnyvale recently and honestly, I was impressed. Ordered the Kolhapuri mutton thali and it hit the spot. The taste felt truly authentic, spicy, flavorful, and not overdone. Spice level was just right.

Loved that they serve unlimited jawar bhakri, chapati, and the classic tambda–pandhra rassa with the thali. That’s a big plus and makes the meal feel complete.

The ambience is nice and comfortable, and the staff was friendly. Overall a really good experience. If you’re craving proper Kolhapuri food in the Bay Area, this place is worth trying.

Will definitely go back.
