Service is fast. Food is great. There are no unique or unheard-of items here but they have very good versions of your Thai favorites. Indoor and outdoor seating. Gets busy but tables move quickly. Plan your visit accordingly!

Degthai is not food, it’s an event, a problem, and a personal attack on my health goals. This place has never fumbled. Not once. No mid dishes. No “it was good but ”. Just nonstop excellence and reckless portions like they’re trying to see how far they can push the human body.

The service? Michelin star energy with “we know exactly what you want before you do” confidence. The food? Absolutely unhinged. The curries? Life altering. The Pad Thai? Illegal in several countries. The rolls and dumplings? I’ve accepted they now live rent free in my bloodstream. I blame Degthai entirely for my cholesterol, my BMI, and my inability to eat like a normal adult.

Every time I eat here I start considering learning their language, changing my personality, and rethinking my entire cultural allegiance. That’s how powerful this food is.

People say “Nashville has great food,” which is usually a bold lie told by people who haven’t traveled. But Degthai? Degthai makes that lie sound believable. Briefly.

I will keep coming back. I will keep pretending I’m “just grabbing something light.” And Degthai will keep ruining my life in the best possible way.

Akshay with Offline – Degthai in Nashville is clearly a local favorite — and for good reason. Even close to closing time, people just keep walking in. It’s always busy, and that alone says a lot. What’s interesting is that despite the crowd, the restaurant operates without the traditional host/hostess setup. You simply order at the counter and then grab a table. It may feel different for those used to full-service restaurants, but it works surprisingly well here.

The menu itself is not huge, but everything on it feels intentional. We started with their street dumplings, which were absolutely delicious — perfectly seasoned and full of flavor. We then tried the Kra Prad Moo Kai Dad with chicken (their take on basil chicken), the chicken red curry, and the Tiew Gang Vegan ramen-style noodles. All three dishes were excellent. The flavors were bold and authentic, the portions generous, and the quality consistent across every plate.

Service was fast despite the crowd, and the restaurant was clean and well-maintained. The only challenge here is table availability, especially during busy hours — so be prepared to either wait or get lucky.

Overall, Degthai delivers great food, efficient service, and a lively atmosphere. I genuinely enjoyed everything we ordered and look forward to visiting again. Highly recommended if you’re in the area and craving flavorful Thai cuisine.

Came in with my wife and loved the easy menu. I was able to customize my curry with ramen noodles instead; it was extremely delicious. The spices they provide at the table made the dishes pop and the dumplings were also great. Wonderful staff with the fast paced environment. Great value for the money. It was pricey but the flavor was worth it. There is a reason this place is a Nashville staple.

The food is delicious and service is fast. You order at the counter then they bring the food to your table. I went on a Saturday and it was PACKED. Managed to find a parking spot, then managed to find a table, but keep in mind there are high ceilings and it’s all one big open space, so it’s loud.

Portions are big and their spiciness level is to be taken seriously. They also have spice trays with lots of yummy chili oils and sauces if you want!

Visited Degthai Nashville with my wife and had an amazing experience. We loved the Tiew Gang Vegan—rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The crispy tofu was a standout, crunchy on the outside and soft inside. Great food, cozy vibe, and definitely a place we’d happily return to! ✨

Service is incredible. We had our food within 5 minutes of sitting down. When I ordered, I didn’t ask for a drink, and she automatically gave me 3 cups for water — I always want water and usually have to ask for it. So when she gave me the cups without asking, that was very nice. The food is delicious and large quantities, and there are spices on the table so you can make your food as spicy as you like it.

It is worth it to eat here just for the experience. We each had pad thai and it was pretty good. Although not what i would call traditional pad thai. More like a giant plate of chicken or tofu and noodles. Tasted very good, my wife and i shared one order and it was plenty for both of us. The tofu appetizer was also very good. Also a small selection of dishes.

Excellent pad thai and curry. The portions are HUGE. We went around 7 on a Friday and it was very busy and had to wait a while for food but it was well worth it. The only complaint is that is was freezing – the room not the food. The AC was on high in February. I totally understand the employees were hot but it was uncomfortable for the patrons.

Thai food is one of those things that can be hard to come by and thankfully there’s a place like Degthai.

The menu is minimalistic (a good thing) with Thai classics like curry and Pad Thai. Dumplings and spring rolls are also available.

Ordering is quick and easy and seating was plentiful.

The food came out quick and fresh. I had the chicken Pad Thai and my wife had red curry. My noodles were chewy and I ordered mild, which was tasty but didn’t pack any heat and I couldn’t find or taste any peanuts in the dish. Where as my wife’s curry was mild and had a good amount of heat and flavor to it.

With some of the spices at the table, I was able to adjust the heat and flavor on mine and next time I’ll know to get medium. Not a complaint really, as I did enjoy my food.

But all to say, the food is fresh and tasty. I’d gladly go back for another meal.
