This was s my first visit to this bakery. I tried three different items. The cheese Danish which was okay, it was a cheese danish. The angel wing was stale. It was hard as a rock! I had a Napoleon and the top of it was hard as a rock! You could not cut through the top of this Napoleon. The cream was very wet and soft. The worst thing about my visit was the service. I walked in and the place smelled so wonderful. I complimented the smell as well as the environment. It looks so beautiful and peaceful in there and the smell of the chocolate biscotti was so inviting. The woman behind the counter never cracked a smile or answered or spoke to me in any way even while I was complimenting her shop. Two words, cash or card ♀️ You’d probably get more personality out of a street cart vendor. I didn’t feel like anyone appreciated that I was there to support their business. It’s not a way to treat customers. I wasn’t impressed and I won’t go back.

I love this bakery. I met up with a friend yesterday & visited for the first time. Even though I’m a local (shame on me). They have a nice lounge area with comfy seats, & regular chairs too of course. They have a wide selection of pastries & cakes. They also serve coffee too, which was pretty good. I know I will definitely be back. The prices aren’t bad either, they are cheaper than what I thought they’d be. The staff are great. Definitely recommend stopping by.

Since I moved to USA, back in 2010-11, I always try the Italians bakery that are on my way, I’m lucky to say that after 15 years here I finally found a place where the espresso it taste like in Italy!! Thank you so much at DeFilippi for making such a great job, bravi tutti definitely my go to for espresso from now on ☕️☕️☕️

Food is good, service stinks. Understaffed, stood in line for 20 minutes and walked out empty handed, about 5 people were standing around waiting. No sense of urgency with the employees. Ended up walking down the street about 300ft and went across the street to some bagel place. It looked as if they had 30 customers in there, but 10 employees serving people. Food was served and paid for within 5 minutes.

Whenever I’m in town, I always make a point to stop by this delightful spot to pickup over a pound of their delicious cookies and rugelach. It’s the perfect place to grab a snack or stock up, as they offer a fantastic range of mouthwatering treats that never disappoint! Especially around the holidays!!!

I give this bakery three stars only because of variety that they have available in the casings.However, I have gone to this place a few times and every time everything is stale from the donuts to hard cookies and sour tasting frosting. I ordered to go breakfast here. Ordered an omelette . I had to wait over 30 minutes and when I opened my order, it was fried burnt flat well done eggs with chopped vegetables in a container.
It was not an omelette. It was really pathetic looking. It definitely was not edible either.
My fork couldn’t cut through the eggs because of how over cooked it was.
I called to complain about it and was told they would issue me a refund. THEY NEVER DID.
They also asked me to text photos, which I did and they never responded or gave me my money back.
I have waited 2 weeks to see if they would refund me before writing this. Too bad that the service and food here is AWFUL. You as a business should be ashamed

This place was amazing. I stopped by here every morning to pick up treats for my construction crew while I was in town. I loved the assortment of treats including the cookies, donuts and eclairs.

I look for an excellent coffee shop or dessert shop wherever I go. If you’re searching for a good bakery in Monticello, give DeFilippis a try. In addition to a full bakery, they also have delicious desserts, macrons, and coffee. I was quite impressed.

On a Sunday morning not knowing what to expect we were pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and quality of their baked goods. I seriously don’t know why we had not been to this place earlier, since we are always looking for good quality food in the Sullivan county area. We decided to visit this place based on the previous reviews and it didn’t disappoint. I went for the cranberry muffin and coffee, my husband had a breakfast sandwich on a bagel and it was delicious. Next time I will try something different as I believe we have found our favorite coffee shop/bakery in Sullivan county. Also, we were surprised by the open mic… I definitely recommend checking this place out.
