Food was great. But establishment wasn’t very clean. We were the first customers of the day and tables were dirty from day before and trash in bathroom was overflowing. Again, we were the first customers of the day so trash should have been taken out night before.

The breakfast and service new is AMAZING!!!! I got the blueberry streusel French toast and they did it in a meal with the eggs, turkey bacon and potatoes. I can never find a place that does that for me! Usually it’s strictly only eggs, toast, and sausage or something like that. But they are very accommodating. I can’t wait to go again!

We stopped in today with less than 30 min before they closed. They welcomed us with open arms. We ordered a lot of food and got a call and had to leave right away. They graciously bagged all of our food and didn’t make us think we were an inconvenience. Most places aren’t like that. The gentleman who helped us even got me a drink to go and let my daughter get one to go as well. The food was amazing, even though it was not fresh anymore by the time we got home. Overall a 10/10 experience for us. Thank you.

Service was very slow due to a large carry out order…would’ve been nice if that had been communicated. Had to wait for sugar for coffee. Biggest downfall was improper names of menu item. Chicken fried steak is a southern dish….which doesn’t actually have chicken in it….it’s made with beef. When I pointed that out….waitress was determined to prove me wrong. The chicken cutlet which I received was ok….but not what I ordered. I asked waitress to pass information to management….highly doubt that happened. I won’t be back.

This was our first time eating at this restaurant. I had the all meat fritata with French toast and my wife and son each had skillets southwestern for my wife and hobo skillet for my son. The taste for all was fantastic, and the portions were very generous. Our server Natalie was very friendly and checked on us often.
Couldn’t of asked for a better first experience. I would highly recommend checking it out if you have a chance and are in the area. I would recommend getting there early as it is a smaller restaurant and seating fills up quick. They do have a waiting area if it is full but I wouldn’t let that deter anyone from experiencing the great food at the Pancake House in Defiance

The city’s favorite breakfast bungalow got a facelift! The owners did the painting and let me say, they could have another business because they are obviously skilled. The food is still magnificent. We got the Farmer’s feast, but upgrade the pancakes to add fruit on top. The presentation here is always beautiful. You can tell whoever puts the plate together, enjoys what they do. Pricing is amazing for the amount of food you get and there are so many options. I think this is the only place I’ve ever been to where breakfast and lunch are both phenomenal. The wait staff is my favorite of any sit down place in town as well. I’ve never had any of them be rude or mean. And I’ve been going for years.

The food and service are always excellent. We make a 45 minute drive just to have breakfast here. The pancakes are the perfect sweetness level and nice and fluffy. They always get my over medium eggs just right. They have a nice selection of items on their menu as well.

Went in with my wife & son for dinner tonight, the food was amazing, and so was the service! A high chair was brought to our table without us even having to ask, and the food was so quick and fresh, and delicious! A must if you’re in defiance!

We waited for about 45 min for our food but it was well worth the wait!!! And I hate waiting too long for my food!! This was our first time there and we ordered some skillets, crepes, pancakes , and french toast. And boy were we chowing down as soon as we finished praying!!! It was all so delicious!!! For a place this small…the service and food were definitely worth top marks!!! Great job Pancake house team…we certainly tasted the love in your cooking and service!!!

I don’t live locally as we move a lot, but I did live in this area for a couple years. Every time I travel back here (this time included) to visit friends, I make it a point to visit the Pancake House at least once (usually more times than that). I love the food here and the service is always top notch! Prices are decent and it has a laid back atmosphere. You always feel welcomed and the food is delicious.
