Deez Bowls is a food truck in a North Shore institution that includes the famous Giovanni’s (too buttery for me). You will find food trucks aplenty anchored by Seven Brothers Kitchen and Market.
I ordered the combo bowl of Spicy Ahi and Garlic shrimp! So flippin good!!! The portions were generous with 6-7 sautéed shrimp with minced garlic and not overly buttered like other trucks. The Ahi was cubed small enough to fit in a good portion with light fluffy rice and the sauce was flavorful without being overwhelming!
Seating is plentiful on this Sunday with picnic tables everywhere and beautiful weather. The aloha service was outstanding with Marte (Mcfly lol) and Aloe taking excellent care of me and making conversation!
At the End of the Day this is a mood and taste choice out of the plethora of food trucks. Deez Bowls is a don’t miss on your way north if you’re driving on H83 and we’ll be back since my wife was pissed that she got tacos!
The crispy pork bowl was killer. Just amazing. 10/10.
I love the atmosphere with the food trucks all around the red picknick tables with string lights all over and reggae playing. Super chill, very aloha. There was also a little cat chilling to give you company haha
The service members were chill and courteous. I didn’t have to wait long for the food, and even if I did it wouldn’t matter because Hawaii is gorgeous.
Very glad I came here.
I got the Crispy Pork Belly bowl, something that they claim to have best on the island. You get a ton of rice and pork for the $20. I had the meal and then leftovers twice. Personally, I would’ve liked to see less food for a lowered cost.
The pork is really good with a crispy outer and a juicy interior, but there is a lot of boring rice to follow up with. I could’ve used a sauce to help enhance the experience.
The service was quick and friendly and we were SO glad we stopped!
