The cutest place! All the staff were so friendly. Love the layout of the seating and the large bakery area. Was great they had some gluten free bakery items. Wish there were some GF cookie options. The various cakes were beautiful! Highly recommend and will be back for sure.

I have been regularly patronizing Deerfield Bakery for 25 years for pre-made goods, and everything has always been delicious.
But wanted to specifically write a review of their customer cakes, which I ordered for the first time recently. I emailed an AI generated image of a cake I wanted for my dog’s birthday and the actual cake they made was absolutely delicious, reasonably priced, and it matched the AI image exactly. It was a huge hit with birthday guests! Will definitely order next from Deerfield Bakery the next time I need a cake.

My fiancé and I ordered a wedding cake sampler from Deerfields and were blown away! The sampler includes every flavor, filling, and frosting option they offer so you truly get to create the wedding cake of your dreams, all while being delicious! Debbi, the wedding coordinator, has been a dream to work with! She has helped us find a wedding cake in our budget while making sure it goes along with my vision. I can not recommend working with Debbi and Deerfield Bakery enough!

I chose Deerfields Bakery for my vender for my wedding. I was having a hard time finding a bakery that offered both donuts and cake pops and was excited that they offered both! We ended up doing a bunch of mini desserts as well along with our small wedding cake. The set up they have for choosing your flavors for the cake made it easy for us and we were able to take our time. They give you a take home kit sample of all the cake and icing/filling flavors. Debbi was so helpful throughout the process and was able to answer any questions we had. The dessert turned out beautiful and we had so many compliments!

I researched this bakery online and saw great reviews so I decided to give it a try. My significant other and I flew into Chicago to celebrate our birthdays, I placed a telephone order for a heart cake with a simple top and bottom border in Dallas Cowboys colors. I placed the order on 7/25 for pick up on 7/30. The order was smooth and pick up was a breeze. I was greeted right away upon entering the bakery and provided with my cake which I had already paid for. The cake was pretty, the colors matched exactly what I wanted. The issue started when we cut the cake. We both thought something was different about the cake because there was spots throughout the blue icing but we thought it was because the cake was cooling. I’m not sure what was used to make the color blue but whatever was used I don’t believe it was supposed to be used. The blue dye used in the cake stained everything….we washed our hands at least 20 times and even used chlorine and they dye was still on our hands….the dye even turned our poop blue….I have never in my life eaten a cake where this has happened. Needless to say we did not continue to eat the cake and I was very disappointed and frustrated. We attempted to speak with the manager at the bakery but never received a call back. Can’t say that we would recommend or try them again when we return.
So I received a response from the bakery and it’s a very classic response….so because of the color I chose it created the issue…..sounds like y’all need a little more training/education on how to make colors with buttercream. Like I stated before we have never had that issue before with any other bakery regardless of the color that is chosen (purple, red, black, green) I’ve had them all in buttercream with no issues.

Nice staff and good donuts, but the Yule log was disappointing. We picked the hazelnut version and while it looked festive, it didn’t have much flavor – tasted cheap to be honest. Expected more than grocery-store level cake, certainly for the premium price.

Deerfields Bakery is fantastic! I have gone to them since I was young. They did my sweet 16 birthday cake, and my wedding! They made a delicious cake, and dessert table (customized cake pops, assortments of mini tarts and sweets). The cake tasting experience was super fun, and Debbi is great to work with! Will definitely purchase from them again!
