You can tell when a place takes pride in their product. After trying deep roots cafe for the first time, I can understand the hype. I ordered the banana foster latte and cheesecake latte. Both were good but I can’t stop thinking about the sweet and salty flavors in the cheesecake latte. I also ordered one of their biscuit bombs and hand pies. The pastries were salty, buttery and pure perfection. So happy to have such a wonderful place to visit in the area.

I’m so excited to have this gem right downstairs from my esthetics studio! I tried the banana foster latte and it was absolutely perfect — smooth, not overly sweet, and you can truly taste the freshness. Everything is made organically and you can tell they care about quality.
The cheeseburger hand pie was freshly baked, flaky, and packed with flavor. It tasted homemade in the best way.
The atmosphere is cozy, clean, and welcoming. I love supporting local businesses and this one is definitely a new favorite. Highly recommend

If you’re looking for a cozy spot to enjoy thoughtfully prepared, locally and ethically sourced food and drinks, Deep Roots Café is well worth a visit. The dishes are both delicious and filling, and the Bananas Foster Latte was easily my favorite part of the experience.

As a local business owner in West Reading, I had to check out Deep Roots Café on opening day… and let me just say — run, don’t walk.
First of all, they source from a local farm, so everything is fresh and truly farm-to-table. This is exactly the kind of business we need more of in Berks County — intentional, high-quality, and rooted in community.
The cinnamon pull-apart was absolutely out of control. So good that I went back the very next day for the blueberry pull-apart… and it was just as amazing. Naturally, I grabbed a biscuit too (because why not?). I didn’t even get to eat it until the following day. In a time crunch, I microwaved it — which usually ruins things — but somehow it was still crumbly and crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Unreal.
I’m having the chicken pot pie tonight, and if the smell is any indication, it’s going to be just as incredible.
Oh — and the caramel latte? They make their own caramel. YES. It’s that good.

Everyone was super nice and cheery and the food and drinks were great. I had the iced bananas foster latte which was very tasty and not too sweet. It’s topped with a cream cheese foam so definitely lick some of that off your straw lol. I had the bacon and egg bomb to eat and the crust was super flaky and buttery

The Deep Roots Cafe was very wonderful, the service and food was amazing. I had gotten the chorizo gravy and biscuits, the biscuits were nice and fluffy and the chorizo gravy was really tasty with a little kick. The inside is very nice and the decor is beautiful. They have a very wide selection of food to offer and they have a freezer with all their meat and meals from their farm. 10/10 would recommend and I will definitely come again.
